6 Must Have Items For New Moms

Must Have Items For New Moms

Despite the fact that I have given birth twice before, there are so many new things that are different this time around! I have learned so much through the boom of social media and life in general that I am choosing to raise my baby girl a bit differently this time around. Almost 10 years ago, I became a mother for the first time and a little over 2 years later, I did it again. Some things are the same, but some things have changed a whole lot. Today I’m partnering with Babbleboxx to share six must have items for new moms.

Nationwide Life Insurance:

I remember when I was in my 20s and I had my first corporate job. One of the perks of the job was 2 years salary as life insurance if anything happened to me. I thought that was BIG money. Turns out, I was wrong! Now I have a FEW life insurance policies especially because I am an entrepreneur and I have three entire children that I want to be taken care of in case something happens to me. I can’t stress enough how important it is to have a Life Insurance Policy. This life is not promised, and the best thing we can do is make sure our kids are taken care of.

Things you may have questions about:

Why do I need life insurance?
Life insurance can give you peace of mind that the people you love will be taken care of if a
tragedy strikes. Plus, payouts are tax-free, so that’s one less thing they will need to worry about.

Is my policy through work enough?
Keep in mind that employer policies generally don’t move with you, and rates go up as you age.
Many people are surprised to learn that the life insurance included as part of their benefits
package is only one or two times their salary. For most people this does not cover their needs.

Why should I get coverage now?
Rates tend to go up as you age. If you purchase an individual policy now you can lock in your
rate for as long as you have the policy.

A Really Good Moisturizer:

Since I’m home all day with the baby, I definitely don’t walk around with a fully made up face. The very least I can do is wash my face and use a REALLY good moisturizer because a really good friend of mine that is in her mid 40s shared with me a long time ago that the key to her looking 25 (no exaggeration) is the fact that she uses a quality moisturizer every single day.

So even though I may not have my usual makeup routine because I am indoors, I can treat and maintain my skin with VICHY Aqualia Thermal Gel Cream. It is a paraben-free daytime moisturizer for normal/combo skin that gives you 48 hour hydration to smooth those fine lines. Plus it has 97% natural origin ingredients: Hyaluronic Acid, Vichy’s Mineralizing Thermal Water & Plant Sugar and it’s tested whatever the conditions (weather, stress, daily aggressors/pollution).

Boob Accessories

I’ve had the unique experience of breastfeeding with my 3 month old daughter, I didn’t breastfeed at all with my first two boys so there was a bit of a learning curve. One thing I learned while I was still in the hospital is that I needed a really good nipple cream in order to survive the constant feedings! The boob-ease USDA Organic Nipple Balm is perfect for this! This non-toxic, certified organic nipple balm that keeps nipples feeling soft and supple. This balm is certified organic, lanolin free, and made with five simple, easy-to-pronounce ingredients: olive oil, beeswax, shea butter, calendula flower, marshmallow root. No need to wipe off prior to breastfeeding! Boom!

I love, love, love this boob-ease Open Nursing Shawl that is perfect for baby wearing. It keeps mom comfortable and free to move while providing protection from the sun and other elements for baby. It fits everybody and every body, this shawl is versatile and goes easily from day to night.
It’s super-soft rayon from bamboo fabric is breathable and comfortable for mom and baby.

Special Offer: 10% off coupon on Amazon – 2 pack of Nipple Balm — Offer expires 2/6/19 or while supplies last – 1 coupon per customer

Another super important accessory to have as a new mom is a really good nursing bra, you are going to be spending a lot of time in it, so you have to make sure that it is high quality! The Playtex Nursing Pretty Shaping Foam Wirefree Bra Constructed of Cool ComfortTM technology helps keep you cool and comfortable at all times. Front adjustable QuickstrapTM for ease of use. The knit-in Support Zones plus extra side sling in cup provides additional support and security.

Baby Food

Can you believe that in a few days baby will be three months old? I can’t even! One of the important things that I need to start thinking about is baby food. A really good option to give to her would be Sprout Stage 2 Pouches featuring the Plant Protein Blends: Strawberry Apple Beet Red Bean & Apricot Banana Chickpea Fig. The best thing about this These Sprout Stage 2 Pouches is that they are PLANT POWERED!

They are made with whole, organic fruits and vegetables, each pouch contains 2 grams of vegetable-based protein. Formulated specifically for babies 6 months and up, Sprout Stage 2 purees are just right for developing preferences. Another feature of the product is that they are High-quality recipes made only with USDA Certified Organic, non-GMO ingredients. There are no added sugars, no flavors and never anything artificial. Perfect for baby’s optimal nutrition! These are definitely one of my favorite must have items for new moms!
