Kore Fitness with Lubriderm & Kevin from FitMenCook
The fitness scene is incredible in NYC. There are so many amazing studios pretty much everywhere and this time I got to try the super popular class at Kore Fitness in the meatpacking district.
I was excited about the class because my fitness has been taking a backseat lately which is super uncharacteristic of me but with traveling (a lot) and a schedule FULL of kid stuff, I’ve had to put myself on the back burner. This class was right on time because my body was READY for the sweat, but I didn’t realize what I was asking for until I found myself completely challenged in the middle of class.
Kevin from FitMenCook
If you have been riding with me a long time you are familiar with Kevin of FitMenCook, We did a giveaway of his awesome book 3 years ago, and I met him at Blogalicious for a Master class on branding 2 years ago. He is super insta-famous with over 1.1Million followers and an incredible app (that I LOVE) filled with super healthy and delicious recipes that DO NOT skimp on taste.
He was there to host class and share tips on behalf of Lubriderm that has an awesome sunscreen product just in time for the warm season. I know I am personally terrible at sunscreen. I wasn’t raised to apply it, so doing it as an adult is a challenge. Even though I have darker skin, sunscreen is just as important for my protection equally if I was fairer skinned.
Kore Fitness Class
There was equipment, everywhere. We started off with kettlebells, then added ankle weights to really take the moves to a new level. It was a bit of an adjustment, but man do you feel every single move when you have weights wrapped around your legs.
I was pouring sweat about 5 minutes in, class was good but tough. My core is still super weak and it was difficult for some of the intense ab exercises but I pushed through! We did a LOT of burpees, I quite honestly haven’t done that many burpees in quite some time!
The music was fantastic, the workout was really great and the post workout smoothies? Yes please! It was an awesome recipe from Kevin that included blueberries, cinnamon and a whole lot more yummy!
