They had me at Yoga & Shoes.
A few weeks ago I was invited to attend a fun event at one of my favorite boutique-y hotels, the Eventi Hotel just steps away from Penn Station.
Shoebuy is a online retail store that has over 1200 brands of shoes and accessories including athletic wear! So it was a perfect combination to hold a Yoga class in Midtown.
I have mentioned many times that I wish I could be better at yoga. I struggle with consistency but somehow I find myself taking at least one Yoga class per month. When I arrived to the class there was plenty of breakfast food and great blogger friends. (You never know who you are going to see at these events but thankfully I think I have a deep enough blogger friend base that there will ALWAYS be someone in the room that I know!) 😉
Our summer kick off Yoga session was held by one of the amazing instructors from Pure Yoga. I am a self proclaimed Yoga Snob (I love Hot Yoga only) but I actually enjoyed this class. For the first time the music was lyrical. I am used to instrumental tracks being in the background but this class actually finished with ‘Somewhere Over The Rainbow’. It was a tough class but not overwhelming enough to make me want to give up. I got real deep in my lunges and I took breaks in childs pose when I needed to.
When the class was over we all grabbed some treats from the breakfast buffet and sat down to hear all of the amazing things that Shoebuy had going on. First we heard from the athletic shoe expert Sean who shared with us about the difference between minimalist sneakers, maximalist sneakers and everything in between. I had never really heard the science between minimalistic running shoes and maximalist running shoes so I basically was hanging on his every word. He mentioned that a lot of people go to specialty running stores to figure out the perfect running shoe, but once you figure it out you can simply buy your replacement shoe at Shoebuy.com!
Next we had ShoeBuy Expert Courtney talk about all the pretty shoes that are available on the site. She didn’t have to tell me twice–check out all the gorgeous styles they had on display!
I am taking the family to Philadelphia for Independence Day Weekend so make sure you follow me on Instagram for all the fun!
