Jillian Michaels BodyShred Class at Crunch Gym
Living in the big apple there are tonnnns of new fitness classes everyday. If you love fitness (and have a lot of money) you can pretty much find any sort of class you are looking for. Which is one of the reasons it would be reallllllly hard for me to leave :).
My latest adventures found me at the brand new Crunch Gym on 66th street and third on the upper east side. It’s super close to the trains (which is a HUGE plus).
For the first time ever I was taking a Jillian Michaels 30 minutes shred class live an in person. I’ve taken the class at home and it’s been brutal so I was mentally prepared to do some WORK! It would be followed by an appropriately named “Ass and Abs”.
The facility was gorgeous. It had several floors with all of your favorite equipment including the lockers which already have the key in locks on them. This is literally my favorite thing in the world because I am not a fan of carrying lockers around. (Gyms around the world, can we all just get on the same page?! NO MORE LOCKS).

I may or may not be exaggerating when I say that these 30 minutes were SO HARD. The movements are done in 10 second intervals and before you know it you are doing another bodyweight exercise. From burpees, to high knees, it is a fun HIIT type of workout that will literally keep you on your toes the entire time.
The following Ass and Abs class also consisted of cardio but we did a ton of floor exercises as well including lots of floor bridges and crunches. Both classes were fabulous and I totally plan on taking them again!
The Crunch 66th Street location as well as the other Crunch locations are the best gyms in NYC, so if you are looking for a good one–check it out!
