I’ll be completely honest with you. Cooking right now at six months pregnant is not the most FUN activity. I have a terrible aversion to uncooked meats and unfortunately I cannot cook from my favorite place, the sofa. Prior to the pregnancy, I was cooking several different meals a week–I love cooking and creating fun meals in the kitchen. However, lately I have been looking for delicious alternatives and was SO happy to partner with Perfect Fit Meals, because not only would we be getting healthy packaged meals, they are SUPER easy to prepare and will be CLUTCH when baby gets here or during busy school evenings.
Healthy Made Easy
The Perfect Fit Meals Motto is “Clean, Simple Food for Busy People” This struck a cord with me especially because we are all running around trying to do the most as moms. There is the after school practice, to working full time jobs, to never ending homework (sidenote: How many times have I done homework with the boys WHILE making dinner? Too many times to count!). This provides a super easy and stress free option, with all of the health packed in.
Here are some of the delicious menu options
Chicken Fajita Bowl
Herb Crusted Chicken
Hunter-Gatherer Chicken (PALEO)
Jamaican Style Jerk Chicken
Roasted Pork Loin
Southwest Style Chicken
Texas Chicken Ranch Casserole
Turkey Enchilada Casserole
Turkey Skillet Scramble
Every meal is nutritionally balanced by our dietitian. We use low glycemic whole grains, nutrient dense vegetables and lean animal protein. There are no artificial colors or preservatives. Everything used is wholesome, clean ingredients like you can find at home.
Easy To Prepare
One of the best parts of the Perfect Fit Meals is that they high pressure process (HPP) their meals, which puts the meals under extreme pressure to kill off certain bacteria. This helps to make the safe and last longer without having to add artificial preservatives or lots of sodium.
We decided to try the Jamaican Style Jerk Chicken first (of course!) and it was as simple as removing the label and popping it in the microwave for 2 minutes.
Hubby loved it, he is not a spicy guy so I always worry about him and certain jerk seasonings. He mentioned that the Jerk seasoning was just enough but not over the top. It is a 3 on a scale of 1-10 mild to hot. The plaintains with the sweet potatoes was really yummy and the entire meal had a ton of protein and was pretty low on the calories side!
