This has been a doosie of a week. Most weeks are full of adventures but this one? Whoa.
It all started on Monday, first I got some unsettling news at work. Right after, I went to the gym to take my normal Bodypump class and realized while I was changing that I picked up two shirts instead of a shirt and workout pants. (I have a shirt with the same design as the pants) Doh! I was REALLY looking forward to this class because it was the new volume premiere for bodypump and I was excited to hear the new tracks–especially after reading Joi’s review! Missing class was NOT an option!
Because I was so determined to get my workout on, I decided I would run out to the nearest store and find some workout pants. I mean, it’s Times Square, there should be workout pants everywhere! Right?
Did I mention it was snowing and really cold on Monday?
I had exactly 10 minutes until class started (never mind the fact that the January crowd rush at the gym is in FULL effect!) so I had to find workout pants QUICK! I ran to Champs–no women’s wear. (Say what?!) Took a peek in Ann Taylor Loft–no go. I now had 8 minutes to spare and still no workout pants!
When I looked across the street I saw The Gap. I had never bought the GapBody fitness wear line before so this was risky. There are a lot of squats in Bodypump and I didn’t want to give anyone a free show! I shuffled through the sale section for a reasonably priced workout bottom. Boom! There was a black Capri pants in my size and on sale for $19.99. Now I didn’t want to spend an unexpected twenty bones on a pair of black workout pants that I literally have a million of but my sanity was at stake and mama needed her weights!!
The cashier rung me up quickly and when she scanned the price it said $8! Yes! GapBody clearance for the win!
I ran in the freezing snow and rain back to the gym. I wish I had my Garmin on because I am convinced that is the fastest I have ever ran. In slippery slush at that!
When I finally got back I quickly changed (again) and ran downstairs to class. They were finishing the warm up but I ended up with my hardest workout of the entire week. So worth it.
