We love these here at my house. Especially during the Christmas baking season! We have been doing a lot of copycat recipes lately and these were next on the hit list!
I was a little worried because there are simply so many ways to make a sugar cookie, but this recipe is top tier! An instant family favorite.
What do I need to make these copycat loft house frosted cookies?
1⁄2 cup unsalted, room temperature butter
3 oz cream cheese
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 tbsp vanilla
2 1⁄4 cup cake flour
2 tsp baking powder
1⁄2 tsp salt
Store bought frosting in the color of your choice or you can dye with food coloring to get your desired color

Birthday parties are awesome but because you can be really creative with the color of the frosting, you can make them for any holiday.
4th of July can be white with blue and red sprinkles, Halloween can be orange frosting with black sprinkles and so much more! These can also be a fun dessert to take to a backyard bbq too!

Soft Baked Copycat Loft House Cookies
These homemade copy cat loft house sugar cookies are so yummy and great for anytime.
Ingredients
- 1⁄2 cup unsalted, room temperature butter
- 3 oz cream cheese
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 tbsp vanilla
- 2 1⁄4 cup cake flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1⁄2 tsp salt
Instructions
- Cream butter, cream cheese and sugar until fluffy, about 5 mins. Add in eggs and vanilla and mix until incorporated.
- Sift flour, baking powder and salt, then add them to the bowl. Mix until fully combined.
- Scoop even balls of dough onto parchment lined baking sheets. Chill for 30 mins.
- After 30 mins preheat the oven to 350 Roll the cookie dough into balls and lightly mash down the tops.
- Bake for 12-14 mins.
- Top with store bought or home made buttercream frosting and sprinkles
