Ingredients

  • Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ½ cup white granulated sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 tablespoon corn syrup
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 ½ cups all purpose flour
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 ½ teaspoons baking soda

  8. Pinch the cookie dough over the top of the filling, placing a bit of extra dough if necessary to fully seal the cookie closed.
  9. Bake these cookies in the oven for 12-14 minutes.
  10. Once out of the oven, let cool for 5 minutes.
  11. Sift with powdered sugar and enjoy the lava cookies while still warm!
