Have you tried the new Minnie Van service is Walt Disney World that takes you all over the resorts and even to the airport? Check out these 5 Must now facts about the Minnie Van Service at Walt Disney World! #disney #disneytips

Last year when I heard about the new Minnie Van Service at Walt Disney World, I immediately fell in love because what could be more fun than riding in a pretty red van with decorated all over with Minnie Mouse decor?

Right before the we got ready to explore the ESPN Wide World Of Sports Complex, our hosts were gracious enough to provide us with the full Minnie Van Service experience to get over to the Sports facility. I was extra excited because I was going to get a first hand experience of what this Minnie Van service was all about! I learned a few things I didn’t know before and I’m sharing them with you today:

Works directly with your LYFT app: You don’t need to download any extra apps, or enter in any information additional information. When you are on the Walt Disney World property, the LYFT application automatically gives you a the Minnie Van option!

Minnie Van now goes to MCO: This one is clutch, I can’t think of a more magical way to start and/or finish your Disney vacation! The Minnie Van has now extended it’s service to the airport! So if you are looking for a more individualized experience rather than get on the Magical Express bus, you have more options!

Car seats are available: The Minnie Vans all come with two car seats for your use. The best part is that the drivers are all equipped to use and install them properly so you don’t have to worry about fitting them in properly. This is a lifesaver (and a time and stress saver) for those of us with small children!

Easiest Way To Magic Kingdom: If you have ever taken a cab to Magic Kingdom, you know how hard it can be to get to the front of the park. You usually have to take an entire different form of transportation just to get there! The Minnie Van is the only car service that will bring you right to the front of every park. They have that exclusive access! So if you are staying on property and the bus service isn’t cutting it and you need to be at MK right now (for a restaurant reservation!), you have this service in your back pocket.

Drivers are flexible: Need to stop and get some food right before a long day in the park? Need to get some groceries? Some items to keep you cool? Drivers are super flexible and can stop and get whatever you need as long as you are on the Disney property. All you have to do is ask!

What is your favorite mode of transportation at Walt Disney World? Monorail? Bus? Boat?

We literally just looked into this when we were in Disney a few weeks back. We stay at the Polynesian Resort. So, getting to the Magic Kingdom and Epcot are pretty simple. For the Magic Kingdom, we can either take the Monorail or the boat. For Epcot, we take the Monorail right outside the resort from the Ticket and Transportation Hub. But for Hollywood Studios, Animal Kingdom or Downtown Disney we have to take buses back and forth. The wait sometimes is lengthy, especially coming back from these parks/places to the resort. So, I did see that it was available through Lyft and the cost was $25. We didn’t use it as the buses are still free of charge to resort members. But we thought about it as the wait coming from Hollywood Studios one day was insanely long. And keeping it in mind for our next trip at the end of the year. So thanks for sharing more here L(

I didn’t even know about the minnie van. I drove when I went so we hopped in my car to go everywhere but it was confusing. Next time I go I will just get in lyft and enjoy the scenery

This is such cute transportation that I can’t even take it! Sounds convenient, too.

I think my favorite thing is that it’s the easiest way to get to the park. And of course, car seats. I love that!

We have just returned from Disney world and used this service to get to the yatch and beach club for an early breakfast. Jeff arrived in the Minnie van but my sister uses an ECV and so he sent for the Minnie van that would accommodate her scooter. He waited with us and helped Jeffrey get us loaded in quick time and on our way. What a brilliant service. It can be booked on line but if you need the bigger van to accomadate an ECV you need to phone them to make them

This is really great! We are going to Disney in a few weeks and may use this service. We are staying at a Disney resort, but will be going to universal for a day. Does anyone know if it will take us there if needed? We could always do a regular lyft or Uber but this would be more fun!

no, they only run on Disney property and to the airport!

Nellile! This is a wonderful post. Not only is it great information but you’ve organized it so well. I too am IN LOVE with the Minnie Van Service.

Is it possible to call a Minnie Van if you don’t have a Lyft app? We haven’t ever used a ride share app. Would the resort be able to call one up for a guest and charge to the Magic Band card?

Nellie August 27, 2019 - 9:38 am

Yes you need the lyft app for sure!
