This Melting Snowman Milkshake is equal parts adorable and delicious! Frequently Asked Questions

Can I use different flavors of ice cream?
Totally! You can switch things up with chocolate or peppermint ice cream to give your snowman a fun twist. But the vanilla base keeps that classic snowman look!

How do I get the snowman face to stay put?
Make sure your whipped cream is nice and thick. The edible eyes will stick better, and you can gently push in the carrot noses and pretzel arms for stability.

What kind of pretzels should I use?
The thin, stick-like pretzels work best for arms. They’re easy to stick into the whipped cream and look super cute!

Do I have to use edible eyes?
Nope! If you don’t have edible eyes, you can use mini chocolate chips or black gel icing for the snowman’s face.

I love chocolate milkshakes, but this melted snowman milkshake is a close second! It’s so festive and perfect for winter!

This recipe is super easy to make – you just need a few simple ingredients. I used store-bought vanilla ice cream, milk, and whipped topping. Then I added some blue and white sprinkles to decorate the glass.

Snow Day Treat – After a long day of playing in the snow, warm up inside with this cold drink. It’s like bringing the snowman indoors without the mess!

Kid’s Winter Birthday Party – This milkshake would make the cutest addition to a winter-themed birthday party. Decorate each one differently and let the kids customize their own snowman!

Family Movie Night – Serve this during a cozy winter movie marathon—preferably something with snowmen, of course. It pairs perfectly with all the holiday feels!

The first time I made this Melting Snowman Milkshake, my kids were obsessed. We had just finished building a snowman outside, and they were so proud of their creation. But when the sun started to set and our snowman got that unfortunate droopy look, we decided to make snowmen we could actually eat before they melted. Let me tell you, the kids had more fun decorating the milkshakes than they did building the snowman itself! Now it’s a family tradition every winter!
