Easy Homemade Tiramisu Recipe
Tiramisu is an amazing dessert filled with delicious flavors and it’s not complex to make at all! This easy homemade tiramisu recipe features strong brewed coffee, coffee liqueur and don’t forget the signature lady fingers!
The first time I had tiramisu, I was 16 years old and on a date with my then boyfriend, now husband. I don’t think I’ve ever enjoyed a dessert so much. There was so much flavor and it was just so pretty! I am happy to say that it’s not that hard at all to make at home.
This easy tiramisu recipe is a classic Italian dessert. There are many ways to make this cake, some recipes call for raw eggs, marsala wine, dark rum, egg whites and even angel food cake. The traditional tiramisu recipe calls for mascarpone cheese, but we will be using cream cheese for this recipe. Don’t worry the signature ladyfinger cookies are a MUST for this recipe!
What ingredients are in this amazing tiramisu recipe?

You won’t need any heavy cream (heavy whipping cream) for this recipe at all.
How do I make this tiramisu recipe?
The first thing you need to do is combine coffee and liqueur in the bowl of a stand mixer. Then you will beat the cream cheese and sugar in an electric mixer until smooth then beat in sour cream, milk, and vanilla. Place one package of lady fingers in a single layer in an unprepared 8×8 baking dish.
Brush with ½ the coffee mixture then top with ½ cream cheese mixture. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight or at least 8 hours. Be sure to sift on a dusting of cocoa powder on the top of the tiramisu just before serving.
One of the best things for me about the dessert is the tiramisu cream. It’s so good, especially the next day! The layers of coffee, the cream filling, the sponge fingers makes this homemade tiramisu so good! Fantastic to serve at your next dinner party. It’s an easy no bake dessert that you can serve at room temperature!
Instead of picking up an ordinary sponge cake at the grocery stores try this fun recipe! You will get rave reviews when your family tastes a piece of tiramisu!
