- 1 cup oats
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 2 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- 1/8 tsp salt (pinch)
- Toppings: blueberries, white chocolate chips, lemon zest
- VEGAN VERSION:
- 1 large ripe banana
- 1/4 cup of maple syrup
- 2/3 cup of milk (plant based as desired) 3 tablespoons of nut butter
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 1 cup of old fashioned oats
- 1/2 tablespoon of baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of baking soda
- 1/8 tsp salt
- 1/2 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1⁄2 cup of optional mix-ins such as berries, chocolate chips, etc
- Using the flavor combinations of blueberry in the lemon with white chocolate is fresh and very springy. Try various combinations.
- To cut into bars line the baking dish with parchment paper to easily lift from the dish to cut.
- Grease a baking dish 8*8 is the Max size unless you double the recipe.
