Easy Game Day Bacon Cheddar Dip

Here is a super easy and delicious bacon cheddar dip that is a sure crowd pleaser! This easy recipe only calls for 3 ingredients and it’s super quick!

When I was growing up I taught myself the game of football (and basketball, and baseball and even hockey). Every time the Super bowl came around, I was THE ONLY one interested in my entire household.

I’d throw myself these mini super bowl parties for one that included pizza, mozzarella sticks, ice cream and SO much more. It was my own little special holiday!

Now that I am a married mom of 3, super bowl parties look a little different! We now watch the game as a family and of course since I’m raising my kids to be football lovers, it’s a super big deal in this house too!

Here are some fun ways to make the best out of the big game — as a family.

Let’s the kids choose the menu

What is better than planning all of the yummy treats for the big game? List 10-15 reasonable foods–some healthy, some not so much that you can make together or order in. Having a choice in the menu helps them to be even more excited about hanging out together! For example, my husband LOVES Carvel so he gets the Fudgie the Whale cake every single year!

Superbowl crafts

If your kids are not into the pre-game analysis (like I am!) have them stay busy with these fun Super Bowl themed crafts and games like this football bingo!

Friendly Superbowl wagers

A fun way to make the game more interesting is to hold a fun wager with the kids. We like to use candy around here since we don’t eat it a lot. All you have to do is buy a small bag of mini candy, have each person choose what team they think is going to win. Each person puts candy into a pot and the teams

Halftime dance party/battle

So we already know that the halftime show always has amazing talent right? Challenge your kids to a dance off! Adults vs. kids — winner gets bragging rights!
