Weekly Wednesday Workout: Pilates Shoulder Bridge
It’s time for your Weekly Wednesday Workout! Today we are focusing on the bum, the booty, the rear end, the junk in the trunk!
I kinda like this move! As soon as I did one I felt the muscle in my butt working! I don’t do them as gracefully as this lady does them but I still did them! This is great for toning the rear end while working some muscles in the legs as well. I’m not sure how many reps I can do but I can certainly try for as many as possible!

I use a weight or med ball with this one and bring it overhead and to the floor for some extra ab burn!! Always good moves here – thanks again!!

It isn’t easy at ALL but it’s fun!
Lifting a leg always makes that move 10x harder!!!

Scarlet watched over my shoulder and said, “Why didn’t they use the word ‘bum’ instead of ‘butt'”? Oh, Scarlet. As if she watches her mouth at all. At all! I love butt exercises. Yes Scarlet I said “butt.”
lol “butt” is a trigger word here too, I try to say tooshie but my husband thinks that isn’t manly enough. Bah.
I love bridges, this modification is interesting! I will give it a try, I’m having to choreograph a lot these days since my manager broke her foot and I’m filling in for her class.
Girl I know you are working overtime to fill those classes, but I know you are killing it!
I really like this move! It kicks my booty (pun intended!). Pilates usually doesn’t really give me enough “burn” but this move certainly does!

I took semi private pilates classes for a few years – and they were amazing! I got so much out of it, from a new body awareness to the the awareness of muscles I never knew I had – mostly because they were sore! The shoulder bridge…ah, my butt does not thank me when I do them, but it thanks me later. 🙂
🙂 I love pilates but I honestly don’t take it often enough. Funny how soreness introduces us to new muscles!!

Listen, just by watching – I can already feel where this is going to hit me the most; core and glutes. As such, I need to try it, lol.
