Happy Friday peeps!!
Don’t you love four day work weeks? It’s even better when it’s a 3 day work week! I took today to head to my home away from home Philadelphia for Women Get Social Blogging Conference. The last SITS girls conference I attended accelerated my blog career by a million so to say that I have big expectations for this one is an understatement. I have the luxury of my own room, TV, and hello? Room service! I’m looking forward to the getaway… Between new kindergarten life, work, and a fun filled hectic vacation, I am ready to chill and do what I do best: learn.
I got both my training runs in this week but they sucked kinda bad. I did my self imposed minimum of 4 miles each day but the humidity made it feel like running through hot, thick soup. It was awful. Every time I started running it felt like an invisible force put it’s finger in my face.
I am planning to run my long run (8 miles) on the treadmill at the hotel. Florida heat banished me indoors and guess what? It wasn’t awful! All I needed was a strong wifi connection and Netflix. I got 7 miles in while watching “Peeples” with my girl crush Kerry Washington. It wasn’t half bad and I had some serious laugh out loud moments! Any suggestions for what movie I should choose this week?
I visited a location of my gym chain that I haven’t gone to in a while and I was pleasantly surprised to find that there was a complete renovation with brand new machines (including fancy new treadmills which is a nice option for the cold months). I decided to try this baby because I had never been on anything like it before.
It was tough. But awesome.
I didn’t lift any weights this week, but I am still going strong in the Plank Challenge so there’s that.
I went to a local running store with the intention of buying some really great running shoes. I walked out with so much more:

Food was fantastic this week. I have finally got a grip on my crazy eating. This running thing means a lot more to me than I thought it would so I am taking it seriously and fueling properly.
I even tried zoodling! (Zucchini Noodles) I have been taking my food for lunch too which is making a huge difference in my pockets!
