Food was no bueno this week! I was a slave to the crave. Plus since Jamie Eason was #turntup I found myself hungry at all kinds of crazy times. I know for a fact that I had way too much bread and white potatoes.

I need to figure out a better balance for eating during Jamie Eason Livefit phase two. I am starving post workout. Maybe it’s the fact that I am working twice as hard, lifting more, but I am so ravenous! I remember when I started working out back in the day I used to be hungry afterwards but this is so not normal for me!!

Jamie has some protein filled foods, I just need to get down and make some. Things like carrot cake protein bars…I so need to try!

Talk about being wayyy out of my comfort zone! Phase two day one was so hard I almost quit on the spot. I probably should have gone lighter on the weights. I did my first superset today and it was SO hard. (I am working on a post defining supersets so stay tuned.)

However with all of that I am seeing some gains, some serious muscle happening which is like the whole point of me starting! And even though it’s kicking my butt I am excited almost giddy to get to the program each day. I am all the way into Phase 2 and I have some before and after first month pics coming up next week. It is definitely getting harder by the  day but I’m still going strong!

It’s time for you to check IN!

How do You handle cravings?

How are your food/fitness goals coming along this week?

Don’t forget to encourage EACH OTHER in the comments!

  4. Cool that you are starting to see more muscle! Your work is paying off!! There must be something in the air, food wise. I have had an AWFUL food week, too–the worst since I started Weight Watchers in June. GAH! I’m trying to get a hold on it today!

  5. Cute pants!!! Muscle is awesome – carrot cake filled protein bars might be better. I am at a bit of a plateau right now, no matter what I do/eat. At first I thought maybe I was at the weight I’m supposed to be, but I don’t think so. It still seems a bit uneven to me.

  6. Keep pushing! I’m done with LFT finally. You will eat all the time! Or MAYBE I ate too much which is why I gained 5lbs and my bf actually increased. It’s disappointing but I will say I am MUCH stronger then I was 3 months ago. Every program isn’t for everybody and this one didn’t give me the results I wanted but I hope it does great for you and even if it doesn’t no matter what you will get stronger! That’s a positive!

    • I’m glad you finished and man I am a hungry girl. I know you are excited for your half training. Good luck!

  7. Cool that you are seeing gains in the muscle department. I did NOT handle cravings well this week at all. It was only one day of lunacy BUT I don’t like that for that one day I had the “old me” mentality. I knew that on Wednesday night the hubby was gonna order pizza for our church group so early in the day I decided that I would eat off the chart at work since I was gonna be eating off my plan later anyway. Tisk Tisk. Oh well. I’m over it and I’ve been back on track since.

  11. You are such a rockstar! Managing cravings during heavy workouts is HARD. Don’t worry about getting everything right all the time. You’re doing a fantastic job. Unless you have someone there cooking for you (forcing you to eat healthy) and you’re working out all the time, it takes years to get into really good shape.

  12. Good for you! You stuck it out and I’m so glad that you are starting to see the benefits! Your selfies are super cute too!
