Since I’ve been inducted into Mommy Camp this summer, I’ve had to find new and creative ways to stay on track with my health and wellness. In my case, it becomes a particular challenge because my kids are non-stop movers. It’s difficult to work out at home and quite honestly it’s really hard to stay on track because taking care of them becomes a blur.
I’ve been sticking to the plan I made of getting up insanely early to workout every morning. Trust me, setting an alarm to wake me up at 5:55am everyday is brutal. It takes me an entire 20 minutes just to get out of bed. It all just seems so unnatural. However, once I get out and get some exercise I feel a million times better and I’m so ready to take on the day!
My time to work throughout the day is limited. Mommy camp includes a mandatory half day of school work. I have a very short time in between needing to shower and getting myself together mentally before starting the lessons of the day. Some days I’m so eager to get the day started that I skip breakfast all together. (I know, Bad Nellie.) Then I was introduced to the Quaker Overnight Oats sensation and I knew immediately this would solve a lot of my eating issues in the morning.
How do Quaker Overnight Oats work?
- Choose your favorite Overnight Oats Flavor Combination (mine is the Toasted Coconut & Almond Crunch!)
- Add your favorite dairy (or non-dairy ex: Almond Milk) option right to the fill line and stir well.
- Cover and refrigerate to cold-steep overnight (6+ hours plus)
- Get up in the morning and enjoy (best to eat within 24 hours!)
How easy is that? There are no dirty mason jars, and you can discard the container once you are finished. This means more time for YOU plus less dishes. That is a total win/win!

No lie, but they are on my shopping list for the weekend. You definitely explained how they work well and I'm excited to put it into action. I think the peach one is appealing to me, but to be honest, they all are! I just don't like raisins.

Like you I get up before my girls and in the summer it is even more brutal to be up early. But still have to do it to get things done here and set up the day ahead. So a necessary evil. I am definitely going to check out Quaker Overnight Oats now. So thanks for the heads up as these look delicious and easy to make, too :)
