Adding sour cream helps the cake turn out moist and rich. It’s just one smart trick bakers use to up their boxed cake game. Due to the perishable ingredients (eggs, cream cheese, sour cream, and heavy cream), be sure to store this cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
