- 1 cup warm milk
- ⅓ cup sugar
- 4 tablespoons no salt butter, melted
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 packet instant yeast
- 1 tablespoon red food color
- 2 eggs
- ½ cup sour cream
- 4 ½ cups flour
- ¼ cup cocoa powder
- 4 tablespoons butter, soft
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- ½ cup butter, soft
- ½ cup cream cheese, soft
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 ½ cups powdered sugar
Instructions
Cinnamon Rolls
- Use a hand mixer with hook attachment to mix milk, sugar, melted butter, salt, yeast and food color
- Add in the eggs and sour cream
- Add in the flour and cocoa powder
- Mix until it no longer sticks to the bowl
- Cover and let rise 2 hours
- Turn out onto floured surface and roll to 18x12
- Spread butter evenly over rolled out dough
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon then sprinkle over the butter
- Roll the dough to a log
- Cut into 12 slices
- Place in 13x9 prepared with baking spray
- Cover and let sit 1 hour
- Preheat oven to 375 then bake 35-40 mins
- Cool slightly

- Beat butter and cream cheese
- Add in vanilla, powdered sugar, and milk
- Spread over cinnamon rolls
