Ingredients and Why They Work
Ground beef gives you that classic burger flavor and hearty bite. Bacon adds smoky crunch and just the right amount of salty goodness. Onion balances the richness and adds a touch of sweetness. Paprika brings a gentle smokiness, while garlic powder and parsley keep the filling flavorful and herby. Salt and pepper season everything so it pops, and red pepper flakes bring a little heat. Worcestershire sauce adds depth and that savory umami hit, while apple cider vinegar brightens things up so it’s not too heavy. American cheese is the ultimate gooey melt factor that pulls everything together. Egg roll wrappers make the magic happen by holding all that burger goodness in a crispy, golden package.
For the sauce, ketchup brings tangy sweetness, mayo keeps it creamy and smooth, pickles add crunch and zing, and a little salt and pepper round it all out. It’s the kind of sauce you’ll want to make extra because it goes with just about everything.

How to Make Air Fryer Cheeseburger Egg Rolls
Start by browning the beef in a pan with the onions, spices, vinegar, and Worcestershire sauce until everything is sizzling and full of flavor. Lay out your egg roll wrapper, spoon some of the beef filling in the center, sprinkle on bacon, and tuck in a little slice of cheese. Roll them up tight, sealing the edges with a dab of water. Pop them in your air fryer basket on parchment sprayed with oil, give the tops a light spray, and cook until crisp and golden brown. While they’re cooking, mix up that dreamy sauce with ketchup, mayo, pickles, salt, and pepper. Once the egg rolls are done, let them cool just a bit (trust me, the cheese will be lava at first), sprinkle with sesame seeds, and serve with the sauce on the side.

My Family Story Behind This Recipe
The first time I made these, I didn’t even get to put them on the table before my kids started sneaking them off the tray. I had this vision of a cute little platter set out for game day, but instead, it turned into a grab-and-go situation right in the kitchen. My husband dipped one into the sauce, gave me that look like, “Why have we never done this before?” and now it’s officially a family favorite. These egg rolls are not only fun to make, but they’re seriously filling—two or three and you’re good to go, which makes them perfect for quick lunches when I don’t want to hear “Mom, I’m still hungry” five minutes later.

Fun Places to Serve
These are perfect for football Sundays, kids’ birthday parties, BBQs, or even a fun Friday night dinner. They also travel really well, so I’ve packed them up for picnics and road trips. Pair them with fries or a side salad and you’ve got a full meal.
I like to pack in bold flavors, so the filling has layers of smoky, tangy, and savory notes that make it taste like more than just beef and cheese. The special sauce is my secret weapon—it takes these from tasty to downright addictive. And because they’re made in the air fryer, they’re lighter than deep-fried versions, but still crisp and satisfying. Around here, we call them “burger pockets” and they’ve got permanent VIP status on our game day menu.
