4th Of July Red White and Blue Smoothie Recipe
Who says that you can’t have a healthy snack or breakfast on Independence Day? Today I’ve got a fun and super healthy red white and blue smoothie that is not only patriotic but also super delish!

I share a lot of recipes here, some that are sweet and some that are savory. When it comes to the July 4th holiday I’ve shared a bunch of red white and blue patriotic recipes including:

This time around I have a super easy and yummy patriotic smoothie that you will love! All you need are bananas, strawberries, coconut cream and blue spirulina! Don’t worry, the spirulina doesn’t have any taste in the smoothie–so you get the awesome color and health benefits too.

4th Of July Red White and Blue Smoothie Recipe
A super fun and festive red white and blue patriotic 4th of July smoothie.
Ingredients
- 6 Bananas (Frozen is best)
- 16 oz package of strawberries (or small bag of frozen
- strawberries)
- 1 can of coconut cream (We used unsweetened for a sugar free
- smoothie)
- 1 heaping teaspoon of blue spirulina (Heres the one we used)
Instructions
Start by blending all of the strawberries with half of a
banana and 1/3 of the coconut cream.- Pour the strawberry smoothie on the bottom of a clear cup or mason jar, filling no more than 1/3 of the cup.
- If doing 2 small smoothies, pour equal parts into 2 separate
cups. - Rinse blender out and blend the rest of the bananas and
coconut cream together.
- Pour the white smoothie mixture slowly over the red layer in
your cups, leaving ½ of the white smoothie mixture in the blender. - Return the blender reservoir with the remaining smoothie
mixture back onto your blender base and add in blue spirulina smoothie. - Once your smoothie is completely blue (you can add more
spirulina if you want a brighter blue) pour the smoothie mixture over the white layer in your cups. - Serve with a straw and serve chilled.

Notes
- This smoothie has a mild tropical taste to it due to the
coconut cream, but its not over powering.
- Using the amount of spirinula powder
mentioned above, it does NOT leave a taste in the smoothie. (My kids loved it and didn’t question a thing) - If you blend too much banana with the strawberries, your bottom layer will come out pink and not red.
