Ingredients

  • 6 -12 Rice Cereal Treats (homemade or store brought)
  • 10 oz Black Chocolate Candy Melts
  • 1 teaspoon of Coconut Oil (optional)
  • 2 oz White Chocolate Candy Melts
  • Purple Sprinkles
  • Black Sprinkles
  • White Sprinkles Mix them all together
  • Gold Sprinkles
  • Silver Sprinkles

Instructions

  1. -Place your rice cereal treats on a clean plate.
  2. -Lay out a sheet of parchment paper and get your Cat cookie cutter.
  3. -Use your cat cookie cutter to cut the shape out of your rice cereal treat. If your rice cereal does not fill the entire cutter, you can attach two rice cereal treats together to fill the cutter.
  4. -Now you will stick your acrylic or wooden cake pop stick inside of the cat shaped rice cereal treat starting from the bottom.
  5. -Push the stick 3/4s of the way into the treat.
  6. -Now it's time to shape the treat. Using clean hands or gloves, push both sides of the treat inward where the cheeks are supposed to be. The face should have a slender shape.
  7. -If the stick starts to stick out of the back of the cat, just add a small amount of rice cereal treat on top of the area that’s sticking out and continue to shape the face.
  8. -Repeat these steps for all 6 treats.
  9. -Once you have 6 Panther Shaped treats place them on a baking sheet or tray and put them in the freezer for 20 minutes. This step is important because it will allow the stick to stay in place when dipping your treat.
  10. -When the 20 minutes are up take the Panthers out of the freezer and place them in a cool dry place.
  11. -Get your black chocolate candy melts
  12. -Melt chocolate in the microwave for 30 seconds, stir, and then in 15 second intervals until smooth.  *Optional: add 1 teaspoon of coconut oil to help make the chocolate smoother*
  13. -Allow the chocolate to became warm. Do not dip the treats in the hot chocolate because it will make them soft and they’ll break while dipping.
  14. -Once the chocolate is warm, moving quickly but carefully, slightly tilt your bowl and dip your Panther in the chocolate. If your bowl is not deep enough, you can spoon the chocolate over the treat.
  15. -Place the Panther on parchment paper until all the chocolates start to harden. Since the treats are still very cold, it should harden in 2-3 minutes.
  16. -Repeat this for all 6 treats. If the chocolate starts to get hard during your dipping, place the bowl back in the microwave and heat it for 15 seconds to bring it back to liquid form.
  17. -With all the panthers on parchment paper, place them in the freezer for 2-3 minutes if they haven’t hardened.
  18. -Once all the Panthers are covered and solid, prepare your white chocolate candy melts. Follow the melts steps above. You don’t have to add coconut oil since it such a small amount of chocolate.
  19. -Place the melted white chocolate in a piping bag and secure the ends
