I made some good choices with food this week. Since I am always learning about eating correctly I actually went to visit with a nutritionist to see what I could do differently to drop these last 10 pounds. She gave me some interesting ideas on how to lose weight including telling me to reduce my calories to 1400 (regardless of workouts) and up my protein 120 grams per day.
I asked my facebook family what they thought about this and BOY did it start a debate. Some folks agreed, some folks were completely against it.
I suppose it’s really about finding out what will work for my body. I am also going for a full physical today to make sure none of my levels are low. (I haven’t had a physical in 5 years…I know, I know) three surgeries and two pregnancies full of needles and it feels like I’ve had a million physicals. Today’s physical is specifically to make sure that everything is okay, because it seems as if I am doing all the right things but the results are minimal. We shall see!
It was a very difficult week workout wise. 4 blogger events, Preschool drama, and an insane uptick in work meetings=a exhausted Nellie. Usually during crazy weeks I get up early and workout, but I have been getting in bed past 11 every night so that was a wrap. In the great game of life balance the workout ball fell flat on the floor.
I did manage to get in 2 workouts though and they were high quality. I put Jamie Eason on pause because I could barely get in the gym much less spend 90 minutes there. However, I am restarting Week 6 on Monday and getting right back on it!
Plus my Zumba class restarts on Saturday and I am super excited because I choreographed 10 (!!) NEW SONGS! It’s my first class since pro skills, plus I got a TON of new Zumba gear so at the very least I will look good!
