Easy Vodka Lemonade Spritzer Cocktail Recipe
Here is a refreshing drink recipe that you will love! This vodka lemonade spritzer is super light and refreshing. It’s made with lemonade vodka and lemonade seltzer water.

Lemonade is my favorite part of summer, and I have the recipe index to prove it. Pink lemonade, Strawberry lemonade moscato punch, strawberry basil lemonade — if it involves lemon and something cold, I’ve made a version of it.
This one is the lightest version in the rotation. Lemonade-flavored vodka and lemon seltzer water — no lemonade concentrate, no simple syrup, no sugar beyond what’s already in the vodka — over ice in a mason jar with a rosemary sprig that makes it look like you put real thought into it. It’s the drink I make when I want something cold and slightly boozy without it being heavy, which in July is most days.
The rosemary isn’t just decorative. Let it sit in the glass for a minute before you drink — it releases a subtle herbal note that keeps the drink from being one-dimensional sweet.

I have shared so many amazing amazing lemonade recipes because to be honest, it’s my favorite part of summer. There are so many options — from pink lemonade, raspberry lemonade, blueberry lemonade, strawberry vodka lemonade and so much more. This time of year you keep the ice cube tray filled because you will need all the ice cubes for as many drinks as possible!

What ingredients are in this vodka lemonade spritzer?
Ingredients Checklist:

- 1 Shot Lemonade Vodka
- Lemon slices
- Ice Cubes
- Fresh Rosemary
- Lemon Seltzer Water
1 shot lemonade vodka (1.5 oz): Pinnacle Lemonade, Smirnoff Lemonade, and UV Lemonade are all widely available and work well. If you can’t find lemonade-flavored vodka, plain vodka with a small additional squeeze of fresh lemon gets you close. The lemonade vodka is what gives this its flavor without needing actual lemonade added.
Lemon seltzer water (approximately 8 oz): Fills the mason jar to about ¾ full after ice and vodka go in. LaCroix Lemon, Spindrift Lemon, or store-brand lemon seltzer all work. The seltzer provides carbonation without added sugar — this is what makes the drink lighter than a standard vodka lemonade.
Fresh lemon (¼ squeezed in): Optional but worth doing. Adds brightness that the seltzer alone doesn’t fully provide. Squeeze after the soda is in, not before, so you don’t lose the carbonation immediately.
Fresh rosemary (1 sprig): The garnish that makes this look intentional. Let it sit in the glass for a minute before drinking for a subtle herbal note. Can be skipped if you don’t have it; a mint sprig or a lemon wheel alone is a fine substitute.
Ice: Fill the glass about ⅓ full before anything else — it chills the glass and keeps the drink cold longer without diluting it too quickly.
How do you make this lovely cocktail?
- Step 1: Fill a mason jar or large glass about ⅓ full with ice. Add lemon slices along the inside of the glass so they’re visible.
- Step 2: Pour in 1 shot (1.5 oz) of lemonade vodka.
- Step 3: Squeeze in ¼ of a fresh lemon (optional but recommended).
- Step 4: Top with approximately 8 oz of lemon seltzer water, poured slowly to minimize fizz loss.
- Step 5: Add a fresh rosemary sprig. Let it sit for about a minute before drinking to release the herbal note.
This cocktail is one of the great recipes of summer. It’s fantastic for brunch and the alcohol content isn’t very high. It’s a super easy light and refreshing recipe. No fresh lemon juice, lime juice, simple syrup, lemonade concentrate or added sugar needed for this great cocktail.

VARIATIONS
Plain vodka version: If you don’t have lemonade-flavored vodka, use 1.5 oz plain vodka and add ½ oz of fresh lemon juice to compensate for the missing flavor. The result is slightly less sweet and slightly more tart.
Sweeter version: Add 1 oz of simple syrup or a splash of actual lemonade alongside the seltzer. This moves it closer to a traditional vodka lemonade and away from the low-sugar angle.
Batch version for a crowd: For 8 drinks, combine 1 cup lemonade vodka and 64 oz (two 32 oz bottles) of lemon seltzer in a large pitcher over ice. Add lemon slices and rosemary sprigs directly to the pitcher. Stir gently once and serve immediately — carbonation dissipates faster in a pitcher than in individual glasses.
Herbal swaps: Mint instead of rosemary gives a mojito-adjacent feel. Basil is a more unusual but genuinely good substitute for a slightly peppery herbal note.

FAQs
Yes — add ½ oz of fresh lemon juice and increase to a full 6 oz of lemon seltzer to compensate for the missing lemon flavor. The drink will be slightly more tart and less sweet than the lemonade vodka version.
Yes — skip the vodka and use plain lemon seltzer over ice with a squeeze of fresh lemon and a rosemary sprig. Add a splash of lemonade if you want more sweetness. It becomes a sparkling lemon herb mocktail.
Yes, if you let it sit. The herb oils release slowly into the cold drink — after about a minute in the glass, you’ll notice a subtle piney note that keeps the drink from tasting one-dimensionally sweet. Muddle it slightly against the glass for a stronger effect.
For 8 drinks, combine 1 cup lemonade vodka and two 32 oz bottles of lemon seltzer in a large pitcher over ice with lemon slices and rosemary sprigs. Stir gently once and serve immediately while the carbonation is still good.
Five ingredients, two minutes, a mason jar, and a rosemary sprig that makes it look like brunch at a rooftop restaurant. Let the rosemary sit before you drink. Leave a comment and tell me whether you went with lemonade vodka or plain — I’m curious if anyone tries the herbal swap.
