Ingredients and Why They Work

Instant strawberry pudding mix brings all the creamy, fruity flavor without any stovetop drama. Milk is what transforms the pudding mix into that silky texture we love. Whipped topping makes everything extra fluffy and dessert-y. Graham cracker crumbs add a buttery crunch that’s basically a hug for the pudding layers. Chopped strawberries bring freshness and a juicy burst of real fruit flavor. Clear plastic cups let those gorgeous layers shine so everyone knows exactly what they’re about to devour.

How to Make This Perfectly Layered Dessert

Start by whisking together your strawberry pudding and milk until smooth, then let it rest until it thickens. Add a layer of graham cracker crumbs to the bottom of each cup, followed by a generous spoonful of pudding. Sprinkle on those chopped strawberries for a fresh pop. Mix your remaining pudding with whipped topping, then layer that fluffy pink goodness over the berries. Pop the cups in the fridge for at least an hour to let all the flavors mingle. When you’re ready to serve, add a dollop of whipped topping and crown each one with a juicy strawberry.

The After School Snack Win

The first time I made these, I was just trying to pull together something fun for my kids after school—because honestly, they were coming home hangry and I didn’t have the energy for full-on baking. I layered everything into the cups, popped them in the fridge, and when they opened the door later, it was like I had just handed them golden tickets to Willy Wonka’s factory. My youngest actually said, “This is fancy, Mom!”—and I happily took that win.

I don’t just layer the pudding and call it a day—mixing the whipped topping into the second layer makes it extra light and fluffy, almost mousse-like. Plus, I always load up on real strawberries so you get that burst of freshness in every single bite.
