This recipe is great for fourth of July celebrations! I don’t know about you but I love when the food at an Independence day cookout is themed for the occasion. The fact that these are red white and blue parfaits makes them that much better! This is a super fun patriotic dessert for you and your guests!
These patriotic parfaits are made with plain yogurt, bananas and strawberries and blueberries. It was one my favorite dessert dishes because it is so easy and healthy too!
Yogurt parfaits are my favorite. The kids favorite too! They get to choose whichever ingredients they would like and they absolutely love having choice with their food! The fresh fruit makes it a great, lighter choice and if you want you can even use low-fat yogurt.
Berry parfaits are not hard to make at all, it’s a matter of layering all of the ingredients. This sweet treat with fresh berries makes for a great anytime snack.
What is the ingredient checklist of these 4th Of July Parfaits?
1 cup plain yogurt
12 fresh blueberries
6 fresh strawberries
1 banana
Some other ways you might see these red white and blue parfaits done is with with cool whip and whipped cream. Why not use yogurt and keep it light on the calories? Regardless of which creamy filling you decide to do, the fruits are the best part!
If you want to add more to the treat, you can certainly add a layer of granola for a little razzle dazzle. it’s the perfect dessert with the most simple ingredients!
The prep time is really fast and you can use your favorite fruits for this great dessert. It’s one of my favorite healthy recipes. If you have parfait glasses those definitely look the best for presentation. If you want to make these sweet treats and don’t want to keep them at room temperature feel free to cover them with a plastic wrap and put them in the fridge.
This simple recipe is really all about an alternate layer of strawberries, and alternate layer of blueberries and of course bananas. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the one for you!
Red White And Blue Parfaits - 4th of July Treats
This delicious sweet treat is made with yogurt and fresh blueberries, strawberries and bananas.
Ingredients
- 1 cup plain yogurt
- 12 blueberries
- 6 strawberries
- 1 banana
Instructions
- Slice strawberries into thin slices. Cut bananas into rounds.
- Place a little yogurt in the bottle of the oui glass jar. Add in banana then more yogurt.
- Add in strawberries more yogurt then top off with blueberries.
- Serve cold.
