  • Strawberries – Sweet and juicy strawberries are a classic summer fruit that adds a burst of flavor to any recipe. They are a good source of vitamin C and antioxidants, making them a healthy addition to these Fourth of July popsicles. Fruity popsicles are the best with fresh strawberries. • Sugar – Granulated sugar is a common sweetener used in many desserts and baked goods, including these Fourth of July popsicles. It adds sweetness and helps to balance out the tartness of the fruit.
  • Cream cheese – In this recipe, cream cheese adds a creamy texture and tangy flavor to the white layer of the popsicle.
  • Blueberries – Blueberries are low-calorie fruit that are high in fiber, vitamin C, and antioxidants. They add a natural sweetness to these Fourth of July popsicles, along with a patriotic blue color that complements the red and white layers. Using fresh fruit is such a good idea! Tips for Using Popsicle Molds

  • Fill the molds evenly – Make sure to distribute the mixture evenly among the molds to ensure that each popsicle is the same size and shape. Be careful not to overfill as the mixture will expand as it freezes.
  • Use a funnel – If you’re concerned about making a mess while pouring the mixture into the molds, you can use a funnel to make it easier.
  • Freeze flat – Once the molds are filled, place them on a level surface in the freezer to freeze. This will ensure that the popsicles freeze evenly and have a consistent shape.
  • Use a warm water bath – When it’s time to remove the popsicles from the mold, run the mold under warm water for a few seconds. This will help the popsicles release from the mold.
  • Store properly – Once the popsicles are removed from the mold, store them in an airtight container or ziplock bag and keep them in the freezer until ready to serve. You can spoon yogurt into a star-shaped ice cube tray if you’d like!
