Copycat Starbucks Smores Frappe Recipe
Have you ever tried to make your own starbucks drinks at home? You MUST try this Homemade Starbucks Smores frappe! You will absolutely love it!

My all-time favorite drink at Starbucks is the S’mores Frappe. It’s also my husband’s — though his second is the Strawberry Funnel Cake Frappuccino, which is a whole different conversation. The S’mores one is the one we default to when we walk in and can’t decide, and it’s also the first one I figured out how to make at home.

The components are simple: strong coffee, milk, graham cracker crumbs, ice, and chocolate syrup blended together for the frappe base. The marshmallow element comes from mixing marshmallow fluff with whipped cream and pressing it around the inside of the glass before the frappe goes in — so when you pour the blended drink in, the marshmallow swirls through it visibly. Graham cracker crumbs, more chocolate syrup, and a whipped cream mountain on top.
What ingredients do you need for this amazing Starbucks Smores Frappe Recipe?

- 1 cup of strong coffee
- 1 cup of whole milk
- 1 tablespoon of vanilla creamer
- 1 tablespoon of granulated sugar
- 1/3 cup of graham crackers crumbs
- 4 cups of ice
- 6 tablespoons of marshmallow fluff
- 6 tablespoons of whipped cream
- 3 tablespoons of chocolate syrup

· Toppings: graham cracker crumbs, whipped cream, chocolate syrup
Strong coffee (1 cup): The key word is strong — regular-strength coffee will taste watery against the milk, graham crackers, chocolate, and marshmallow competing in the same glass. Brew it double-strength or use 2 shots of espresso dissolved in ½ cup of hot water. Let it cool to room temperature before blending, or use cold brew concentrate diluted to about double strength.
Vanilla creamer (1 tablespoon): Coffee creamer adds a subtle vanilla sweetness to the base. Any liquid vanilla coffee creamer works. If you want to skip it, substitute with ½ teaspoon of vanilla extract and an extra teaspoon of sugar.
Graham cracker crumbs (⅓ cup): These go into the blender with the frappe base and contribute the graham cracker flavor that’s essential to the s’mores profile. Crush them fine enough that they blend smoothly rather than leaving chunks. Reserve some extra crumbs for the topping.
Marshmallow fluff (6 tablespoons): Mixed with whipped cream to create a spreadable, sticky marshmallow layer that gets pressed around the inside walls of the glass. Fluff straight from the jar is too thick to spread easily — the whipped cream loosens it to a workable consistency.
Chocolate syrup (approximately 4 tablespoons total): 1 tablespoon goes into the blender with the frappe base. 1 tablespoon goes into each glass after the marshmallow layer (2 total). Additional syrup for the topping drizzle is extra beyond the 3 tablespoons listed. Budget 4-5 tablespoons total.
No matter what your favorite drink at Starbucks is, I’m sure you’ll love it! They’re all amazing, and I can’t wait to try more of them.
How Do You Make This Tasty Drink:
RECIPE STEPS
Step 1: Make the frappe base
Add the strong coffee, milk, vanilla creamer, sugar, ⅓ cup graham cracker crumbs, 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup, and 4 cups of ice to a blender. Blend until completely smooth with no ice chunks. For a thicker consistency, pour the blended mixture into a freezer-safe container and freeze for 1-2 hours before serving.
Step 2: Make the marshmallow layer
In a small bowl, mix the marshmallow fluff and whipped cream together until combined and spreadable.
Step 3: Prep the glasses
Using a spoon or small spatula, press and spread the marshmallow-cream mixture around the inside walls of each glass, working it as far up the sides as possible. This is what creates the visible marshmallow swirl when the frappe fills in.
Step 4: Add chocolate syrup
Drizzle 1 tablespoon of chocolate syrup into the bottom of each prepared glass, over the marshmallow layer.
Step 5: Pour the frappe
Pour the blended frappe into each glass, filling to just below the rim.
Step 6: Top and serve
Top each glass with a whipped cream swirl. Drizzle with chocolate syrup. Sprinkle with graham cracker crumbs. Serve immediately.
This recipe makes two grande-size drinks. Strong brewed coffee works best — the coffee flavor competes with a lot of other flavors in this drink and needs to hold its own. If you want it caffeine-free, strong decaf works identically.
FAQs

Yes — substitute the strong coffee with strong hot chocolate, cooled to room temperature, for a caffeine-free version that keeps the chocolate flavor profile. Or use cold brew decaf for the same caffeine-free result with a more authentic frappe base.
Starbucks uses a proprietary Frappuccino Roast concentrate (not standard brewed coffee), a specific whole milk blend, and a mocha sauce rather than standard chocolate syrup. The closest home substitute is double-strength cold brew with a high-quality dark chocolate sauce. The graham cracker crumb technique in this recipe is the most accurate element — it’s what the actual Starbucks version uses.
The marshmallow fluff is naturally sticky — once mixed with whipped cream it becomes spreadable enough to coat the glass walls without immediately sliding down. Press it into the glass and let it sit for a minute before adding the frappe; the brief rest helps it adhere before the cold liquid hits it.
Not for the glass-wall layer — mini marshmallows won’t spread or adhere to the glass. They can be added as a topping garnish alongside the graham cracker crumbs, or melted briefly in the microwave to approximate the fluff texture if fluff isn’t available.

The marshmallow layer inside the glass is the step that makes this look like the real thing — take the time to coat the walls properly before the frappe goes in. It takes about 30 extra seconds and it’s the entire visual. Make both glasses at once since this recipe is sized for two, and serve immediately before the ice starts separating. Leave a comment and tell me if this is your order too or if your Starbucks go-to is something else entirely.
Enjoy!
