Christmas Reindeer Chocolate Bark
Christmas Reindeer Chocolate Bark – Sweet, Salty, and Full of Holiday Cheer
This Christmas Reindeer Chocolate Bark is the cutest (and easiest!) holiday treat you’ll make all season. With creamy milk chocolate, crunchy pretzel “antlers,” and candy faces, it’s festive fun in every bite.

This no-bake Christmas bark is one of my favorite go-to recipes when I want something that looks impressive but takes barely any effort. It’s perfect for gifting, snacking, or setting out at a holiday party—and it’s so fun that even the kids will want to help make the reindeer!
Ingredients and Why They Work

Milk chocolate chips form the sweet, velvety base of this bark—they melt beautifully and taste like pure holiday happiness. Vegetable or coconut oil (or paramount crystals) help the chocolate stay glossy and smooth once melted. Candy eyeballs give each reindeer its adorable expression, while red M&Ms make the perfect Rudolph noses. Mini pretzels become the reindeer antlers—crunchy, salty, and the perfect contrast to the sweet chocolate. And finally, holiday sprinkles add that finishing sparkle that makes it look straight off a Christmas dessert table.

How to Make Christmas Reindeer Chocolate Bark
Start by lining a baking sheet with parchment paper—this will make it easy to lift and break your bark later. In a microwave-safe bowl, combine your milk chocolate chips and either oil or paramount crystals. Microwave on HIGH for one minute, then stir well. Continue heating in 15-second intervals, stirring between each one, until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat—it can burn quickly!
Once melted, pour the chocolate onto your prepared baking sheet. Use a spatula to spread it into an even layer, about 1/8 inch thick. Now comes the fun part—decorating! Place red M&Ms sporadically across the chocolate. These will be your reindeer noses, so leave enough space between each one.

Above each red nose, add two candy eyeballs to give your reindeer their faces. Next, break mini pretzels in half (carefully—they love to snap unevenly!) and place two halves above each set of eyes to make antlers. Once all your reindeer are set, sprinkle the rest of the chocolate with festive sprinkles or snowflakes for that extra Christmas sparkle.
Transfer the baking sheet to the refrigerator and chill for 30–45 minutes, or until the chocolate is firm. Once set, peel the bark off the parchment paper and break it into pieces—each one will have its own little reindeer personality. Arrange them on a plate or wrap them in festive bags for gifting.

This recipe is one of my family’s holiday traditions because it’s just plain fun. The first year I made it, I was trying to come up with something easy for the kids to help with—and now, they look forward to it every year. My youngest takes her job as “reindeer eye placer” very seriously, while my oldest sneaks a few pretzels for “quality control.” My husband always says these taste like chocolate-covered Christmas joy. It’s messy, it’s silly, and it’s one of those kitchen moments that turns into the sweetest memories.
FAQs About Christmas Reindeer Chocolate Bark

Can I use dark or white chocolate instead of milk chocolate? Yes! You can use any kind of chocolate you love—just make sure it’s good quality and melts smoothly.
What if I don’t have paramount crystals? No problem—just use coconut oil or vegetable oil to keep the chocolate shiny and easy to work with.
How long does it last? Store the bark in an airtight container at room temperature for up to a week, or in the fridge for two weeks.
Can I make it ahead of time? Definitely! It’s great for making ahead since it keeps its shape and flavor perfectly.
What other toppings can I add? Crushed candy canes, mini marshmallows, or even a drizzle of white chocolate would all be amazing.

Notes
The thickness of the bottom layer of chocolate will determine how long it takes for the bark to harden.
Adding too much oil can change the consistency and taste of the bark which is why I highly recommend using paramount crystals.
Paramount crystals are primarily made with hydrogenated palm kernel oil and are used professionally in the chocolate and candy-making process to help smooth it out.
