Easy Air Fryer Veggie Flatbread Pizza

It’s super simple. Add the marinara sauce to the naan then the mozzarella cheese. After that all you have to do is add your fresh vegetables and now you have a hearty deliciously good meal for the family!

Tips and Tricks:

  1. Preheat your air fryer before cooking. This ensures that your flatbread gets nice and crispy.
  2. Cut your vegetables thinly. This ensures they will cook quickly and evenly.
  3. Don’t overload your flatbread. Too many toppings can cause it to become soggy or cook unevenly.
  4. Check your pizza frequently to prevent burning.

Variations:

  1. Mediterranean Flatbread Pizza: Use hummus as your base, top with olives, tomatoes, cucumbers, red onions, and feta cheese.
  2. Mexican Flatbread Pizza: Use refried beans as your base, top with bell peppers, corn, jalapeños, and finish with cheddar cheese and avocado slices post-cooking.
  3. Italian Flatbread Pizza: Use pesto as your base, top with sun-dried tomatoes, artichokes, bell peppers, and finish with a sprinkle of Parmesan.

The best part is that it’s fully customizable, my air fryer only holds one flatbread so I can easily become a short order cook and take requests for which toppings each family member likes!

Common Problems and How to Avoid Them:

  1. Soggy pizza: Too many toppings or too much sauce can make your flatbread pizza soggy. Stick to the recipe amounts, and remember – less is more.
  2. Burnt toppings: Because air fryers cook quickly, delicate veggies can burn. Be sure to check your pizza often, and adjust the cooking time as necessary.
  3. Undercooked veggies: To avoid this, slice your veggies thinly and evenly, ensuring they’ll cook in the short time the pizza is in the air fryer.

Topping Options:

The beauty of pizza lies in its versatility. Aside from the variety of veggies, consider adding different proteins like grilled chicken, tofu, or beans. Once cooked, finish with a sprinkle of fresh herbs such as basil or cilantro, a dash of red pepper flakes, or a drizzle of high-quality olive oil or balsamic reduction for a gourmet touch.
