Mom’s Night Out Movie + Happy Mothers Day!

If you are a mom, you need to go see the Mom’s Night Out movie. Now.

Don’t even think about it, leave the kids with the husband, babysitter, grandma’s house and take two hours for YOU to go see this movie. It is so worth it.

I was invited to the Mom’s Night Out movie preview, and the were nice enough to provide guests with edible arrangements, baked by Melissa cupcakes and Martinis.

The movie stars Sarah Drew (aka April Kepner on Grey’s Anatomy!) and Patricia Heaton (from Everybody Loves Raymond and The Middle) and more.

We all struggle with being the perfect mom–putting our kids in the right activities, being able to confidently help them with their homework, and simply making sure that they don’t get hurt on a daily basis. This movie for any mom that has ever felt overwhelmed as a parent! (sound familiar?)

The first few scenes were eerily familiar for me personally, Sarah Drew’s character was completely burnt out from running a household full of kids while trying to keep the place in order. She decides to grab a few of her friends for a mom’s night out.

The night unfolded hysterically and as you can imagine, everything that could go wrong–did. It was one of the craziest nights in movie history! The wild ride was insanely entertaining and I laughed and laughed. The movie wrapped perfectly and I might have shed a tear at the end.

Afterwards the Moms did a live broadcast on Sirius XM with the cast of Moms Night Out. It really was a fantastic broadcast as we got to learn more about the stars and how they related to the movie.

You guys know I don’t go see movies often but I really related to this movie in anyway. Mothering seems so lonely sometimes, I am blessed to have amazing readers and people in the blog world that get it. Even when I am feeling at my lowest or completely inadequate I know that I am not the first mother to feel this way and I am not the last.

Then THIS happened!

With  that said I want to wish all my Mothers and Future Mothers a very very Happy Mother’s Day. I hope your day is amazing and you get all that you want even if it’s just a few minutes peace and quiet!

  3. I have such a photographic memory and seeing the words “Sarah Drew” made me realize I knew her from somewhere, more powerfully than seeing her on Grey’s has! She’s from a show I used to watch called “Everwood.”
Anyway, I had a mom’s night out last night and of course we talked about pregnancy nausea and choose an ice cream parlor over a crowded bar in the long run.
I want to see this badly!

  5. What a fun treat! I’ve been hearing a lot about that movie lately. It may have to be relegated to the Netflix queue though…I doubt the husband would be willing to make a date night for it.
