What is Parmesan Truffle fries?

Parmesan Truffle fries are a type of fry that is coated in Parmesan cheese and truffle oil. They are a great side dish or snack, and are perfect for dipping in ketchup or your favorite sauce!

What do truffles fries taste like?

Truffle fries have a savory and umami flavor, with a slight earthy taste from the truffle oil. The Parmesan cheese gives them a slightly sharp and salty flavor, while the potatoes add a starchy component.

How do you make Parmesan Truffle fries?

The key to making perfect Parmesan Truffle fries is to start with good quality potatoes. I prefer to use Yukon Gold or Russet potatoes, as they have a higher starch content and will hold up better when frying.

How do you make fries taste better?

There are a few things you can do to make your fries taste better. First, make sure to soak your potatoes in cold water for at least 30 minutes before frying them. This will help to remove some of the starch from the potatoes and make them crispier.

Second, double fry your potatoes. This means that you will cook them in the oil for a few minutes, remove them to let them cool, and then cook them again.

This will help to make them extra crispy. Finally, make sure to season your fries with salt, pepper, and any other spices you like before serving.

What ingredients do you need for these Parmesan Truffle fries?

Ingredients

  • 3 medium or 2 large yellow potatoes
  • 1 tbsp parmesan cheese
  • 1 tbsp white truffle oil
  • Salt, to taste

Instructions

  1. Heat your deep fryer to 350 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Wash your potatoes thoroughly on the outside.
  3. Cut your potatoes with a slicer to get the thicker julienne (fries) cut.
  4. Put your potatoes in a bowl of ice water and rinse the water until the water is clear.
  5. Once your fryer has warmed up to 350 degrees Fahrenheit, fry your fries twice. First time you fry them for about 6-8 minutes, or until light brown.
  6. Then remove them from the fryer and let all the oil drip off.
  7. Then fry them again, for about 2 minutes, or until golden brown.
  8. Put them in a bowl with kitchen towels, so it can absorb all the oil.
  9. Grab a medium-sized bowl and pour in the truffle oil, and then the fries on top. Mix and shake the fries on top of the oil, to make sure all the fries get some of the truffle oil on it. (I don’t pour it over it because it can make it a little soggy)
  10. Then top with some Parmesan cheese and season with salt to taste.
