If you hang out with me on Instagram then you know that I spend a awful lot of time at Coney Island. The boys cannot get enough. Even though I had the park in my childhood I didn’t get to go nearly as often as these boys do! Lucky Ducks!
Halloween Harvest at Luna Park NYC
The family was invited to celebrate the new additions to this year’s Halloween celebration. The Halloween Harvest opened on September 24th and this year it is bigger and better! I am a super wimp and I can’t take super scary Halloween activities. One thing I love about Luna Park is that they have super festive activities without all the gore and terror. They get me.
New items for 2016
Not only does Luna Park house the best pumpkin patch in New York City, but this year’s Halloween Harvest will also feature a petting zoo and pony rides, compliments of Pony Express Entertainment. Magicians King Henry and Gary the Great will awe visitors, who can also enjoy face painting, arts and crafts, kooky spooky karaoke and more.
The folks at Luna Park NYC have stepped their game all the way up with pony rides and a petting zoo. I’m super weird with animals but the boys loved it. They petted, fed and giggled with several animals while I stayed all the way back with the camera. 🙂
Another addition is the Pony Rides! Right outside the park, there is a really cool pony ride section available for park attendees with wristbands.
There is also a pumpkin patch available right inside the park. The kids get to choose their pumpkin, paint it however they like, and leave it there to dry so they can pick it up before they go home.
Upcoming Halloween Harvest events
Sunday, October 9: More than 100 of our four-legged friends will participate in Luna Park’s annual Dog Parade and Costume Contest. A distinguished panel of judges will evaluate the winners based on Audience Choice, Cutest, Mister/Miss Congeniality, Most Original and Best of Show.
Sunday, October 23: Marc and the Maniac Carvers, Brooklyn-based pumpkin carvers, are back for their fourth year in a row to transform a giant gourd into a Halloween masterpiece.
