Easy Halloween Ghost Cookies
These adorably spooky ghost or mummy cookies are so fun to make for a Halloween gathering!
Ingredients
- 2.5 cups flour - sifted
- 1.5 cups sugar - sifted
- 1.5 cups chocolate chips
- ½ cup cocoa powder
- 12 oz mini marshmallows
- 1 cup shortening - room temperature
- 2 eggs
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- Eyeball candies/ sprinkles optional
Instructions
- Combine flour, sugar, cocoa powder, and baking soda and whisk
- Combine shortening, vanilla extract, and eggs (in a separate bowl) and beat until combined
- Slowly add the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and whisk until thoroughly combined
- Fold in the chocolate chips
- Preheat the oven to 350
- Make 18-20 cookie dough balls on a cookie sheet
- Bake for 15 minutes
- Chill
- Melt marshmallows in a bowl and whisk with a fork
- Use your fingers to pinch the marshmallows and pull apart strings over the cookies
- Add sprinkles or eyeball candies as you please
