Disney Social Media Moms Celebration 2016: Alice Preview & Park Hopping Fun
After a strong jam packed first two days (check out day one and day two), this was the day that we going to off on our own a bit but first we had an exclusive movie preview to enjoy!
Alice Through The Looking Glass
We got on a bus to head down to Disney Springs for a sneak preview to the long awaited Alice in Wonderland sequel. I was a bit worried that it might be too much for the boys so I was completely prepared to go for a walk during “scary” scenes. Even though the rating was PG there are ranges to PG!
I was so happy to say that the movie was not only completely appropriate but the boys were completely into it! Usually they get a bit fidgety during some point of the movie but they were glued–as was I! The cinematography was incredible and recognizing the behind the scenes moments that producer Suzanne Todd shared with us the day before at conference added a new layer of intrigue to the movie. We all laughed a lot (my husband the most) and the overall them of being strong and going for what you want was well received.
Afterwards we headed right over to the Lego store because, boys. After a while of building all the things from the Lego pile, we headed to World of Disney to buy my (third) Disney Alex and Ani Bracelet. I’m completely obsessed and I want all of them. All. Of. Them. I got my first one last year at the Disney Social Media Moms On The Road Conference, then I bought my second at the Glass Slipper Challenge earlier this year. I make it a tradition every time I visit Florida!
After a quick refresh back at the Yacht Club we headed back to Magic Kingdom for lunch at my favorite restaurant in the whole world–Crystal Palace. I mean, is there anything better than dining deliciously with Pooh?
The food was just…so good. We ate our fill and of course danced and took pictures with Tigger, Pooh, Eeyore and Piglet!
As conference attendees we were provided with a TON (40!!) fast passes each so that we could explore the parks. I’ve been wanting to ride the seven dwarfs mine train since it opened, but because it is one of the most popular rides in Disney–without a fast pass the wait is usually 90 minutes plus!
Needless to say, we rode 3 times in a row.
We explored the park some more then headed over to Hollywood studios because I knew the boys would be so excited to see two live shows: Beauty & The Beast and Frozen: Live Singalong.
The boys love attending live shows, Broadway etc. They were SO into Beauty and the Beast and even though I’ve seen the show so many times I could probably understudy Belle it was so awesome to witness them experience it for the first time.
Frozen: The Singalong was a first for me but I knew the boys would be ecstatic because there are daily Frozen singalongs in my house (still!). Not only did they know every word they were simply blown away when “snow” fell from the sky!
We went back to the resort for a small refresh before grabbing a very late dinner in Disney Springs. We decided to try out one of the newest restaurants on the scene Paradiso 57. The guac was one of the best I’ve ever had in my lifetime. No joke.

What can I say, but I am seriously so excited now for upcoming trip. I booked The Crystal Palace for dinner, because who doesn’t love dining with Pooh and friends. Oh and I am completely obsessed with Alex and Ani Disney bracelets and am getting another when I am there, too now 🙂
I love it! Y’all have convinced me to spend my coins and take the kids to Disney World this summer for vacation I am planning now with my travel agent as we speak.
you are going to LOVE it! Let me know if you need anything 🙂
I’ve been seeing ads for the new Alice movie. It’s dubbed over in Portuguese, haha! But seriously, it looks cool. I think I’ll go see it. What an amazing set up!
haha you should still take a look, the visuals alone are pretty stunning!
This is a dream!! 40 Fastpasses!! What???? I remember being thrilled with our four. I chickened out about the Mine Train, though, and I’m not proud.
Scarlet said it wasn’t thrilling enough for her. Umm…
Also the movie looks awesome!
DO THE MINE TRAIN! its really not that bad, I actually thought flight of the griffyndor was a bit more wild!
Glad to hear you enjoyed yourself.
