Chick Fil A Milkshake FAQs

Do I have to make my own blondie crumbles?
Not necessarily, store-bought blondie or brownie bits can also work. But making them at home is super simple and rewarding!
Can I use skim milk instead of whole milk?
You can, but whole milk gives a creamier texture.
What’s the difference between butterscotch and caramel sauce?
Butterscotch is generally made with brown sugar and butter, whereas caramel is made with granulated sugar and cream. Each adds its own unique flavor.

Tips and Tricks
- Ice Cream Quality: Opt for premium vanilla ice cream for the best taste and creamy texture.
- Blender Speed: Start at a low speed and gradually increase to avoid the milkshake from becoming too thin.
Variations
- Chocolate Lovers: Replace vanilla extract with chocolate syrup for a chocolaty twist.
- Coffee Version: Add a shot of espresso for a coffee caramel crunch milkshake.

Where to Serve
This milkshake is a perfect dessert for barbecues, family dinners, or simply as a sweet weekend treat.
Storage
Milkshakes are best consumed immediately, but if you must, you can store the blondie bits separately and assemble the milkshake when ready to serve.

Common Problems and How to Avoid Them
- Too Thin: If your milkshake turns out too thin, add more ice cream and blend again.
- Uneven Blondie Bits: Make sure the blondie bits are evenly sized for consistent texture throughout the shake.
Tips for Making This Recipe with Kids
- Safety First: Always supervise children when using the blender or oven.
- Measuring Fun: Kids can help measure the ingredients, especially for the blondie crumbles.

Topping Options
- Extra Caramel: Drizzle some extra caramel sauce on top for added sweetness.
- Nuts: A sprinkle of crushed pecans or almonds can add a nice crunch.
Why This Recipe Works
The perfect symphony of butterscotch and caramel sauce with high-quality vanilla ice cream creates a taste that’s rich, creamy, and utterly satisfying. The blondie bits add an unexpected and delightful crunch, making each sip a new experience. Using whole milk further contributes to the creaminess, making it decadent and luxurious.

Copycat Chick Fil A Caramel Crunch Milkshake Recipe
This Copycat Chick Fil A Caramel Crunch Milkshake is a luxurious blend of premium vanilla ice cream, butterscotch and caramel sauce, elevated by homemade blondie crumbles. Perfect as a dessert for special occasions or a sweet treat, it offers a rich, creamy texture with an added crunch. The recipe is kid-friendly and offers various topping and flavor variations to suit your taste.
Ingredients
- Blondie Crumbles
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- ½ cup + 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup all purpose flour
- Milkshake
- 3 cups vanilla ice cream
- 2 tablespoons butterscotch sauce
- ¼ cup caramel sauce
- ½ cup whole milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Topping
- Blondie Bits
- Whipped Cream
- Maraschino Cherry
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees fahrenheit.
- In a bowl add the melted butter and brown sugar. Mix together. Allow to cool for a couple minutes before adding the egg. (To ensure it doesn’t start cooking from the hot butter)
- Mix in the egg and vanilla into the mixture.
- Add all dry ingredients of salt, baking powder and flour. Use a rubber spatula to fold together until a thick blondie batter is formed.
- Take a small baking dish and spray with nonstick baking spray. Pour in the batter, spreading evenly.
- Bake in the oven for 25 minutes or until the top is slightly golden brown.
- Let cool for 15 minutes. Crumble the blondies onto a parchment paper lined baking sheet. Break apart into small pieces. Place back in the oven on broil for about 5-8 minutes or until the crumbles become a darker golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and place in the refrigerator to cool and allow the crumbles to crisp up.
- While those are cooling, make the milkshake. In a blender add the vanilla ice cream, butterscotch sauce, caramel sauce, milk and vanilla all at once.
- Blend together until smooth.
- Now that the blondie crumbles have cooled, break apart even more into smaller pieces with your fingers.
- Place about ½ cup of the blondie crumbles into the milkshake. Stir to combine.
- Transfer to a serving glass. Top with whipped cream, some more blondie crumbles and a maraschino cherry. Enjoy!
