Today I’m showing you how to make Chicken Wings 3 Ways: Caribbean Style, Buffalo Style and a delicious dry rub. Impress your guests with these flavorful wings!

Why should you only eat one chicken wing recipe, when you can have 3? This Chicken Wings 3 Ways recipe is not only amazing, but anyone can make these recipes in their own home.

Going out to eat to enjoy wings is nice, but nothing tastes as delicious as making them yourself. 

What Type of Wings Are We Making?

If you are going to commit to making these wings, you may be wondering what type of wings we are making. 

Righteous Dry Rub: If you’ve never had this dry rub before, you are going to love it. The flavor is amazing! If you don’t like wet sauces, then this recipe is for you. 

The Original Buffalo Wing Sauce: There is nothing I love more than The Original Buffalo Wing Sauce. Making this and putting it on your wings will taste like heaven!

Caribbean Jerk Sauce: One of my new favorite sauces is this Caribbean Jerk Sauce. Just think, you can make it right at home.  These are perfect with the popular Authentic Jamaican Rice and Peas Recipe!

You can make different flavors for everyone in your family. Some of you might love one flavor, some of you may love every flavor.

Once these chicken wings are made, they will need to be placed in the fridge for storage. Allow them to cool down and from there, place them in an airtight container and store them until you are ready to enjoy them again.

Chicken Wings 3 Ways: Dry Rub, Buffalo & Caribbean Style
Yield: 4 lbs chicken wings

Chicken Wings 3 Ways: Dry Rub, Buffalo & Caribbean Style

These delicious wings can be done 3 ways! Caribbean, Dry Rub and Buffalo. Offer a variety for your next event!

Ingredients

  • Righteous Dry Rub:
  • ● ½ Tbsp Ground Chipotle Chili Pepper
  • ● ½ Tbsp Smoked Paprika
  • ● ½ Tbsp Onion Powder
  • ● ½ Tbsp Coarse Salt
  • ● ¾ Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ● ¾ tsp Chili Powder
  • ● ¾ tsp Cumin
  • ● ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ● ½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ● ½ tsp Dried Mustard Powder
  • ● ¼ tsp Black Pepper
  • ● ¼ tsp Dried Oregano
  • ● ¼ tsp Dried Ground Thyme
  • 1. Combine all ingredients and rub on chicken, reserve some to toss in once wings are done
  • The Original Buffalo Wing Sauce:
  • ● 1 Stick of Butter
  • ● 1½ Tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ● 1/4 - 1 tsp Cayenne Pepper (To your heat level)
  • ● ⅛ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ● 1-2 tsp Cayenne Hot Sauce or Tabasco
  • ● ½ tsp Worcestershire
  • ● 4-8 Tbsp Franks Hot Sauce (or your favorite brand)
  • 1. Combine ingredients in a saucepan over low heat to melt butter, stir occasionally to blend well
  • Caribbean Jerk Sauce:
  • ● 2 Tbsp Butter, melted
  • ● 2 Tbsp Minced Spring Onions (wight and green parts)
  • ● 1 Cup Water
  • ● ¾ Cup Ketchup
  • ● ½ Cup + 2 Tbsp Brown Sugar
  • ● ¼ Cup Apple Cider Vinegar
  • ● 2 Tbsp White Vinegar
  • ● 2 Tbsp Cayenne Pepper Sauce
  • ● 2 tsp Ground Black Pepper
  • ● 2 tsp Worcestershire
  • ● 2 tsp Lime Juice (or lemon juice)
  • ● 1½ tsp Cayenne Pepper
  • ● 1 tsp dried Parsley
  • ● 1 Tbsp Cornstarch
  • ● ½ tsp Salt
  • ● ½ tsp Garlic Powder
  • ● ½ tsp Dried Thyme
  • ● ¼ tsp Onion Powder
  • ● ⅛ tsp Ground Clove
  • ● ⅛ tsp Ground Nutmeg
  • ● ⅛ tsp Ground Allspice
  • ● ⅛ tsp Ground Sage

Instructions

  1. Make a slurry with the cornstarch and 1/2 of the water, combine remaining ingredients in a saucepan and heat over medium heat. Bring to a slight boil and stir in the cornstarch slurry. Stir constantly until thickened up enough to coat the back of the spoon. 

Air fryer:

  1. Arrange wings in a single layer on an airfryer tray.
  2. Set the air fryer to 380° and cook the wings for 12 minutes. Remover and flip wings over and continue to cook for an additional 12 minutes. Increase the Temperature 400° and cook for 5 more minutes.
  3. Toss the wings in Sauces, or Righteous Rub
  4. Oven:
  5. Preheat the Oven to 450°
  6. Line a baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top of the foiled tray.
  7. Toss wings in oil to coat, season with salt and pepper, or the righteous rub if using.
  8. Bake 25-30 minutes until crispy and cooked through, flipping halfway through cook time.
  9. Remove and toss in remaining Righteous Rub, Original Sauce, or Jerk Sauce.
  10. Convection Oven:
  11. Preheat Convection oven to 425°
  12. Line a baking sheet with foil, place a wire rack on top of the foiled tray.
  13. Toss wings in oil to coat, season with salt and pepper, or the righteous rub if using.
  14. Cook the wings in the oven for 15 minutes
  15. Drop the Temp to 350° and cook for an additional 15-20 minutes until cooked through and crispy. May need to flip them over about half way through
  16. Remove and toss in remaining Righteous Rub, Original Sauce, or Jerk Sauce.
