2019 Epcot Flower and Garden Festival: Must See Food and Attractions

What do you get when you combine the magic of spring with the magic of Disney? The incredible event that is the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival. While I was in Disney for the Star Wars 10k, I made sure to schedule some time to check out the popular Spring festival in depth. I had been to Disney during the festival before but never had the chance to really explore all it had to offer.

The Epcot International Flower and Garden festival transforms Epcot into a Spring paradise with flowers and beautiful character themed horticulture. Visually, the scene is truly breathtaking as the flower show really takes the Epcot experience to the next level.

The Butterfly Garden at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

As you walk into future world headed to world showcase off to the right is a beautiful enclosed butterfly garden. It’s a super easy walk through tent with live butterflies! There were many Disney cast members available to teach about how butterflies live and survive so it’s a bit of a learning lesson for the kids (or you!) too.

Speciality Shops at Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

Although the Flowers are evident throughout the park, you really get to enjoy so much more once you get to the World Showcase. There you can find special flower show Minnie ears, and tons of other spring themed merchandise that is specially sold during the festival.

Food and Drink at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

After a tough race, I honestly could not wait to get to Epcot and try ALL THE THINGS. Right when you enter the World Showcase there was this amazing citrus everything stand called The Citrus Blossom.  I HAD to try the Orange Sunshine Wine Slushy. It was SO good especially because it was so hot. It wasn’t strong—it was the perfect way to start off what would be lots of fun

 eats and drinks for the rest of the day.

Next, I had this super delicious Tropical Freeze drink at La Isla Fresca. Again, not strong enough to send me into a sleep but still super yummy. I had some more treats but ended up having a really good dinner at San Angel Inn which I’ll be reviewing soon—spoiler alert: it was so good!

There are plenty more food options including Travel and Trellis near the Showcase Plaza, Jardin De Fiestas in Mexico, Lotus House in China, Primavera Kitchen in Italy. The food booths are so fun!

Topiaries at the Epcot Flower and Garden Festival

I was in awe of how gorgeous the flower characters were. The sheer detail of the flowers is just incredible.
