Weekly Wednesday Workout: Tricep Push ups
I got a request from my friend Joi to focus on the the upper body, So let’s try to get guns like hers, shall we?

I like these, these are a regular move on the Jamie Eason program and I can barely get through the required 3 sets of 15! (sidenote: The lady in the video is JACKED! Dang! I bet if she was my trainer, she would scare me into losing the weight :)) These will have your triceps burning and begging for mercy. It is a fun twist on the regular push ups targeting that infamous flabby area most women have.

Ha ha!! She’s definitely intimidating!! I love tricep push-ups!! I honestly like them best over any other dumbbell tricep move. They are also the ONE push-up I will allow my class to do on their knees:-)

Definitely couldn’t do these with my back now, but back in the day I used to love doing push=ups and these look they are definitely a bit more challenging. Thanks for sharing Nellie!! 🙂

Ok..first off…that trainer is VERY intimidating! LOL! I have done these before and they are super hard, and like you, they have my triceps burning before the set is even up!
I need her to train ME, dang!
I am horrible at tricep push-ups and don’t really like them so I rarely do them (probably why I’m awful at them). Other tricep moves aren’t that hard for me but I can’t seem to master these – I guess I will try some tomorrow!!!

Tricep oushups are so difficult! But they do give you nice arms.

Ugh…I hate push ups of any kind…and my most recent DVD workout has LOTS of push ups – one of which is tricep focused. But I don’t think I could do a single one of these!
I am not a fan either but I can’t deny the effectiveness!
Triceps push ups are hard! I prefer to do dips on the bench. Clearly the easier route. Joi does have great guns!
And this woman…yeah, she is totally rocking the muscle!
I like the bench dips too, both are really great for tricep work.

I struggle with all forms of push ups but especially these! I guess I know where I need to focus now 🙂

We did those in bootcamp last year! They were hard!

My Pilates teacher used to have us do the beginners’ version of this tricep pushup. I had guns back then. Lawd! Stuff hurt like heck, but I was looking the part. Gotta get back to those days and that level of fitness.
I need to take Pilates more often!! Usually its the moves that hurt the most that have the biggest effect! 🙂
