When Canva for Business exploded on to the scene I decided that I didn’t need yet *another* blogging app to help me make blog graphics. Especially since I have been so used to using the free version of Canva for so long.
As a very methodical part of growing my blog I have been taking very specific steps to “tighten up” things around here. I’ve been really working hard to change little things about my blog to make sure my branding is tight. I still have so much to do but the little changes have been make a big difference as my traffic has doubled since last year this time.
One of the awesome tools that I have been using to solidify my brand is Canva For Business. Here are the top 5 reasons Why Canva For Business is not only awesome but worth the money.
The new Canva for Business allows you to upload your own customized fonts! This is a big deal and a brand new feature to Canva overall. Since Canva is known for their fancy premade word templates, being able to edit them to reflect your own fonts is a game changer!
$1 Stock Photos
Back in the day if you were looking for a really good stock photo it could cost you hundreds of dollars. But why do this when you can search a database of thousands of stock photos that are just $1 each (and you can save 10% by buying a pack of 11!)? They have a great selection of photos for every possible situation. (The $1 Stock Photos are available with the free version as well
One thing that drives me a bit bonkers about PicMonkey is the fact that if you save a graphic you can no longer make any edits. I remember one time over 3 years ago spending hours and hours on a media kit that was gorgeous when it was done but pretty useless after 3 months because I couldn’t go back and edit to reflect my new numbers. With Canva For Business not only can you save your work for future editing but you can also save the custom colors of your brand as well.
If you don’t want to make something from scratch, because you simply don’t have the time, Canva has incredibly beautiful templates to work from. When you add your own fonts and brand colors–magic starts to happen! The templates are free and you can stick your own pictures in there too, perfect!
Template resizing for each network
Canva has premade graphic sizing for every network. You know how the dimensions are different for Twitter, Facebook, Pinterest and etc–Canva already has the proper dimensions already programmed and the best part is that you can resize with one click of the button to any network you want. It saves tons of time and gives you a clean brand look all across your social media networks.
