Rev Run & Justine Share 5 Healthy Diabetic Friendly Recipes + Interview {VIDEO}

Did you know that Diabetes affects 1 out of 3 American adults?

I didn’t realize how close Diabetes was to me until it hit home when a close friend told me her daughter was diagnosed. Or a few years ago even closer when my cousin was diagnosed. Most people don’t even realize that the disease could be running through their family and need to take the proper steps to learn about their risk.

The following risk factors are most common for type 2 Diabetes:

  • Being aged 45 or older
  • Lacking physical activity
  • Being overweight
  • Having high blood pressure
  • Having a family history of diabetes
  • Being a member of certain ethnic groups (non-Hispanic Blacks, Hispanic/Latino Americans, Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders, American Indians and Alaska Natives)
  • Having had diabetes during a pregnancy, or giving birth to a baby that weighed more than 9 pounds)
