Red White and Blue Slushies – Fun Treats For July 4th
Looking for a fun 4th of July treat for the kids? These fun Independence Day red white and blue slushies are festive and are sure to please!
I’m pretty sure that one of my favorite parts of the July fourth holiday is making everything super festive. The red white and blue is just goes together perfectly so when you get food in the mix — it’s a great combination!
Slushie drinks are my favorite and also is a super huge favorite of the kids. Whenever they get the chance they love to get them. Usually we see the “slushy man” when we go to the park and we all get different combinations.
My personal favorite is coconut and strawberry! There are so many different combinations but we love those. It’s such a NYC staple.
Red White and Blue Slushie Drinks
The great thing about slushies is that they are super easy to make at home. All you need is a blender, some ice and syrups. For presentation wine glasses work great!
What ingredients do you need for red white and blue slushie drinks?
The ingredients are super simple:
ice
red gel food coloring
blue gel food coloring
strawberry extract or syrup
coconut extract or syrup
water
These treats are great to serve on Independence Day or even Memorial Day. It’s the perfect cool treat for a warm summer day!
Plus if you wanted to make this a fun adult treat you could add your favorite spirits to the mix!

These red white and blue slushies are super easy to make and fun for the July 4th Holiday! Kids love them!
Ingredients
- ice
- red gel food coloring
- blue gel food coloring
- strawberry extract or syrup
- coconut extract or syrup
- water
Instructions
- Place ice in blender. Add 1/2 cup water. Blend well. This is for the red and blue. Add in 1 tablespoon strawberry extract blend. Separate into two bowls with one drop of each food coloring. Mix well.
- Place more ice in blender with 1/3 cup water and coconut extract about 1 tablespoon. Layer each color of ice into the jar or mug your serving in. Serve cold!
