FAQs, Tips, and Tricks
How do I store leftover ice cream? Leftover ice cream can be stored in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 2 weeks. To prevent ice crystals from forming on the surface, press a piece of plastic wrap directly onto the surface of the ice cream before securing the lid.
Do I have to use bourbon? No, the bourbon can be omitted if desired. However, the alcohol actually helps to keep the ice cream soft and scoopable straight from the freezer.
Can I use canned peaches? While fresh peaches will give you the best flavor, canned peaches can also be used. Just be sure to drain them thoroughly before using.
