These Easter Baby Chick Cupcakes are so much fun, and they are really easy to make! All you need is a box of cake mix, some eggs, oil, water and food coloring. You will also need some cupcake liners, frosting and candy eyes.

You can serve these cupcakes at your Easter party, or you could even take them to school with you for a fun treat. The kids will love them!
These are super fun tasty cupcakes with an edible baby chick on top! They are perfect for Easter! These baby chicks are easily made with a piping bag for the yellow frosting on the top of the cupcakes. It’s one of those super fun Easter desserts you can serve at a baby shower or even a spring party. It’s a super easy recipe and therefore it’s my favorite cupcake recipe.
You don’t need much to decorate this super adorable cupcakes, the yellow frosting is piled all the way to the top, and you add a couple of chocolate chips for eyes! These cute baby chick cupcakes make for a great easter treat.
What ingredients do you need for these easy easter chick cupcakes?
1 box yellow cake mix + additional ingredients per instructions OR your favorite recipe
Yellow frosting in piping bag with large cut tip
Yellow decorating sugar
Orange cookie or regular frosting
Mini chocolate chips
You won’t need any coconut flakes, lemon cake mix, orange gumdrops, marshmallow crème or heavy cream for these adorable baby chick cupcakes. These easy Easter cupcakes make the cutest cupcakes, the yellow icing make them the star of the dessert table.
You can use yellow buttercream frosting or you can make you favorite white frosting and add drops of yellow food coloring. The best part about making this easy cupcake is that it’s versatile. You can use lemon frosting, or yellow liquid food color to get the brightness you desire.
It’s one of those easy recipes that you can grab your large pastry bag with buttercream icing to frost cupcakes with the kids. These sweet treats are especially fun to make with kids!

Easter Baby Chick Cupcakes
These amazing Easter Baby Chick cupcakes are so fun to make for the spring!
Ingredients
- 1 box yellow cake mix + additional ingredients per instructions OR your favorite recipe
- Yellow frosting in piping bag with large cut tip
- Yellow decorating sugar
- Orange cookie or regular frosting
- Mini chocolate chips
Instructions
- Bake cupcakes per recipe and cool completely
- Pipe a swirl of yellow frosting on the cupcake
- Press in mini chocolate chips for eyes
- Use orange cookie frosting to pipe a small, upside down triangle shaped beak, tiny little feet, and a swirl on top as shown, if desired
- Serve, share, enjoy!
