Last weekend, I was so excited to have a blogger meetup with two of my favorite girls, Kim from Manifest Yourself and Melissa from the Valentine RD. They were sweet enough to come to my little corner of Brooklyn (Kim from Long Island and Melissa from California!)
The joined my Zumba Class on Saturday, and I was so excited because I know I am always blogging about teaching classes and having your fellow bloggers come, attend, and experience what I am always talking about, was all kinds of awesome. I was SO happy they came out, and we all had a fantastic time dancing.
Ok so Beyonce was everything. I don’t know how she does it night after night. But she made me feel like this was her FIRST night on tour and we were the fist ones to see her. She was absolutely flawless. Her outfits? Just amazing, and she is just perfect in all her glorious curvy self. I looked through my wardrobe to figure out WWBA (What Would Beyonce Approve?) and I decided on this:
Big Hair? Check. Lots of sparkle in the top? Check. See through? Check. LOTS AND LOTS of leg? Check. Sparkly shoes? Double Check.
The concert was so good, I sang along to every single song, word for word, like the rest of the 15k people in the arena, but I definitely nearly lost my voice when she sang “Love On Top” (in which I think we have a very special bond because we were both pregnant at the same time and I was extremely excited about it and felt like we had a bond that will never be broken as a result.)
orange is the new black
So I caved into social media peer pressure and I started watching the Netflix Based series “Orange Is The New Black”. I kept seeing facebook posts and tweets about it so I decided to give it a try. I am SO happy I did! The show is so good. I don’t watch premium shows (I haven’t really gotten into one since The Wire, Six Feet Under and The Sopranos) but this show seems like it would fit perfectly on any premium network. I have 2 episodes left, and I know once I finish I will be left with that NEF (Netflix Empty Feeling) You know, when you finish a series on Netflix and/or Hulu and left fending for more? Yes. That will be me. I can already see it. I need to read the book when it is done, maybe that will help with the withdrawal!
The Most Creative Video I’ve Seen
SO I love me some Robin Thicke, I feels like we could be best friends. When he is on Real Husbands of Hollywood I realized that not only can that man sing his TAIL off but he also is completely hysterical. So when I saw his collaboration with the roots, & Jimmy Fallon singing Blurred Lines with only kid instruments—I was in love. I know you have probably seen this already, but it is worth another view. Isn’t it awesome?
