Friday Fitness Check In: Social Eating and Live Fit Trainer Week One

Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check In! I am using this as a bit of a fitness diary to keep my goals in check while sharing exactly what I am doing with you (since I get so many questions about it! :) Feel free to link up and/or do your own Friday Fitness Check In in the comments where you can keep track of the following:

 

  1. Fitness: Workouts for the week, how did you feel?

Food was better than normal this week, I totally had an off the rail day on Monday when I met the bestie for lunch, and I hadn’t seen her in a while so I was eating and talking and eating and listening.  I should have made a better choice blt and fries anyone? But I made the crucial mistake of showing up at the restaurant starved. If I had a small snack even an hour before, I would have been golden.

I am super excited by this Jamie Eason program, and although I am not eating nearly as clean as she suggests,  she has some really awesome recipes that include lots of protein to help my lil sore muscles recover.

The amazing folks over at bodybuilding.com were generous enough to reach to out me and provide me with the supplement pack to assist me while I am on the program. So I totally plan to bake some fun protein filled goodies!

Zumba + Day 9 = super tough!

Can we say ouch? I am sore–pretty much everywhere. Last Friday I couldn’t lift my arms for hugs, and on Tuesdays after leg day I was walking like an old lady. Not cute! However, I have never enjoyed a program more! I am a cardio head more than anyone but something about the iron…I’m in love. I literally pop out of my bed because I am so excited to get my lift on.

I’ve always been strength training so doing the exercises is nothing new, but the regimen of sets and hitting specific target muscles is very new to me. I am trying new machines, and no longer concerned about how much I burned. I am now asking myself, do I have enough weight on the machine?

I seriously love it. I’d be a bodybuilder if it didn’t mean giving up my favorite greasy food things I like to eat! :)

    My fitness was good this week and considering we are on vacation, I think my eating has been fine – not much different than at home!!!

  6. Fries are healthy though….Mcdonald ….no let me stop they are bad for you. Good luck with your new transition. I have plans for a new tackle on weight losing within the next two weeks. I am not telling anyone what it is because I might chicken out lol

  7. I love how you put it all out there! BLT and fries, though?! Yes. I have to share – it was my first good week of weight loss since my pregnancy! I’m finally hovering within 5-6 pounds of my old weight. I am small, but it’s uneven – mostly in the mid-section. Not cool! Anyway, have a wonderful weekend!

  10. So intriqued by Jamie Eason’s program. Maybe I should jump in. Or maybe not. :-) I don’t go to a gym so it would need a lot of modification.
