What is a Kir Royale Cocktail?

A Kir Royale cocktail is a sparkling wine cocktail made with crème de cassis and Champagne. It is named after Félix Kir, a French mayor who popularized the drink in the 1940s.

The Kir Royale is a classic champagne cocktail that is perfect for any occasion. It is simple to make and only requires two ingredients: crème de cassis and Champagne. Crème de cassis is a black currant liqueur that adds a sweet and fruity flavor to the cocktail.

Champagne gives the Kir Royale its signature bubbles and effervescence. For this recipe we will be using a similar ingredient with chambord.

How do you make a Kir Royale Cocktail?

To make a Kir Royale, simply combine crème de cassis and Champagne in a flute glass. The proportion of chambord to Champagne is up to you, but we recommend starting with a ratio of 1:3. Once you have your desired ratio, gently stir the ingredients together.

For an extra special touch, you can garnish your Kir Royale with a blackberry or raspberry. Enjoy!
