Even though I live in Brooklyn, I’ve worked in Manhattan since I was 20 years old. I could name a million things about Manhattan that I am in love with but no place had my heart like Times Square.
When my husband and I were dating (15 years ago) we would spend every Friday and Saturday night in Times Square usually going home around 3 or 4 am. (Ah, the kid free days ) Believe it or not Times Square has improved a lot since then, there are so many fun places to shop including three of my favorite places H&M, Sephora and Aldo.
In addition the really good shopping in Times Square, there are also so many fun things to do! When Madame Tussauds (Wax Museum) first opened up, I went with my family and it was so much fun taking all kinds of fun
inappropriate pictures with the wax figures. They have since added dozens more “up to date” stars like Biebs (YES I call him Biebs!!) and Kate Middleton. Right next door is Ripley’s believe it or not where I witnessed a man put some sort of metal object through his nose and haven’t been able to cope since.
I have become quite spoiled working in Times Square, I pretty much have everything at my fingertips. It may be at a much higher price than everywhere else but it is definitely at my fingertips!! One of the main advantages that I have is working right next to one of the most gorgeous parks in the city–Bryant Park. I’ve shared my love for Bryant Park previously, but in the summer I love it that much more. Just last week, my mom brought my eldest to come see me for lunch and we finally got to try out the carousel. For $2, he had so much fun! (I can’t lie, I did too!)
