Littlest Pet Shop Season 3 Premiere Party
Last Saturday I began the best summer ever by taking the kids to the Season 3 premiere party of The Littlest Pet Shop at The Bryant Park Hotel. The event was in celebration of the new cartoon season as well as all of the new Hasbro toys they have available. (You may remember my mention and video of the Littlest Pet Shop Toys from Toy Fair earlier this year)
We got there a bit late because we haven’t quite mastered how to get everything together and leave on time (it’s not easy but we are working on it :)) as we got there about 5 minutes after the screening had started. The cartoon was SO CUTE! I was a bit worried that it would be a bit too girly for my car loving, bus crashing boys, but they enjoyed it a lot. Even the hubs and I were giggling along with the kids. Great thing about the screening? They provided us with bananas, pretzels, cookies, and popcorn for the viewing. JUST enough to keep them from getting super fidgety.
When we were done the boys spent a good amount of time playing with the new toys that are coming out this fall. My youngest had a thing for the squishy toys. No surprise there.
Times Square Fun
When we were finished we decided to make a day of it and go to Times Square, and since we were so close to my favorite park we decided to go on the merry go round. Quick, easy fun entertainment!
We headed a few blocks over to Toys R Us in Times Square and can you believe I have never been on the ginormous Ferris Wheel? Today was the day to change that! The tickets are $5.00 and it was great until the 5 year old decided he needed to potty. At the top of the Ferris Wheel. We had to chat him up and distract him because I totally didn’t have a change of clothes–needless to say it was a mad dash to the restroom…two floors up! We also fell head first into the tourist trap that is the photos they take of you at every turn. We bought TWO! *side eye at myself* but they were so perfect!
We ended up with some of the new Paw Patrol toys that I saw at Time To Play a few weeks ago (recap still forthcoming!) and finally it was time to eat. I stopped at Sephora first (of course) then we went to Dave and Busters for lunch. I hadn’t been to D&B’s in a really long time (maybe over 8 years?) but the food was blah and I was not impressed.
We made our way home and were so happy we got to take full advantage of the beautiful day!
