Welcome to the Friday Fitness Check-in where I run down an update of my workout week and overall Fitness health. Don’t forget to check in with your progress as well!
Not much has changed since the last check in! As a matter of fact things haven’t been all that good either. I have lost that burning motivation that I had a few months ago. I’m not sure where it went but the thing about motivation is that it can slip out like a thief in the night. I literally woke up one morning and wondered where did my motivation go?!
I still want to lose weight, I still want to conquer new athletic feats, I want to grow in fitness as well as physical appearance. I know, that without the want I don’t have a chance. I’ve talked about this many times, but when my mental is locked in, my body cooperates!
This blog is about being able to balance fun, fitness and motherhood. Well, in the case of the past month, busy won. Now you guys already know that I have been going to the gym consistently, teaching every Saturday and I even ran a 5k! However, it was just out of habit… There was no fire behind any of it.
So about a month ago my husband started a no carb diet. Not low carb, no carb. Say what?! As a dutiful wife I tried to follow the plan along with him. Within the first few days I dropped several pounds and the bloat that I deal with constantly disappeared! I really didn’t realize how uncomfortable the bloat made me feel until it was gone. My only issue with the low carb diet was that while I wasn’t hungry I was eating way under 1200 calories a day. It was so hard to find a balance.
Unfortunately I didn’t last a week. *weeps* I started with a small amount of carbs and before you knew it I was a carboholic once again. The bloat returned fast and furiously while my husband has lost a ton of weight. *sigh*
So now I need to figure out how to keep my carbs low while keeping my calories in the normal range. Any suggestions are welcome! Remember I am a special case as I don’t eat chicken and I am allergic to seafood. Anyone willing to take that challenge?! 🙂

I am so excited to announce that I am officially a Brand Ambassador for the Eleven by Venus sportswear line! I am super stoked and I can’t wait to share all of the amazing awesomeness of the brand! I absolutely love all of the styles, the colors, and of course Venus Williams herself!
The team is being led by my own personal she-ro Carla Birnberg (aka MizFit) so it is quite the match made in heaven. Squee!
